Chun-Li, Guile and the rest of the original eight are back in Street Fighter IV photo

Capcom has announced that they will be revealing some of the new characters to be in Street Fighter IV this Friday. They could be revealing totally new characters, or they're just revealing the characters that have just been revealed in the latest Famitsu. Chun-Li, Zangief, Blanka, Guile, Dhalsim, and E. Honda are all set to return and complete the original eight World Warrior fighters. The scans show the veterans performing some of their signature moves and looking surprisingly good.

The new look Street Fighter IV is going with really suits some of the returning characters. Zangief and Blanka look really great and Chun-Li didn't turn out as horrible as I was fearing. Odd that they continue to only show the one level with all these previews though.

Now that the original eight are out of the way, I have to wonder which, if any, of the Super Street Fighter characters will be making it in IV (Cammy!). Not to mention the totally new characters like Crimson Viper that will be joining. Who are you hoping makes it back?

Yum, Chun Li... Except that concept picture of her makes her has thighs like smoked hams. I mean, she's supposed to have muscly thighs, but not tree trunks that could crush my head like a grape

I have to say that THESE character models look absolutely awesome.

Zangief has his rape-face on in that concept art, though. :P

Awesome! I'm glad they're all in. I hope the bosses make it as well (well....I can live without Balrog) and Cammy. I say ditch the other 3 Super SF guys (though I did like Fei Long) and just make the rest of the roster new. Oh yeah + Akuma.

Looks good, as to who I want returning...

This is based on it being set between 2 and 3 (correct me if I'm wrong).

Younger versions of some of the SF3 characters, Alex, Urien, Oro maybe.

Older versions of some SFA characters, Sakura for instance.

Fei Long.

A character who is Dan's disciple and is totally the best character in the game.

Finally, after all these fucking years, Sheng Long.

Returning characters? I'd like to see the return of Gecko from SF1 and Karin from SF3.

Ibuki and Makoto from SF3 would be cool.

As for the artwork, its up to Capcom's usual high standard, just like the character models they've built on top of it, which despite what anyone says are faithful to Capcom's designs than more realistic 3D models we usually see in games.

If anyone thinks Chun Li's thighs are too thick, that's because stylised (some but not all) manga art tends to exaggerate certain proportions of characters for dramatic effect. This is why you'll notice ceratin parts of characters more than others.

Looking Good... Now @ least we get to see some characters besides Ken & Ryu.

I think this game is coming together pretty well. I wonder if this will hit arcades too????!!!!

Three good fighters to look forward to this year. Tekken 6, Soul Calibur 4, & Street Fighter 4!
( @ least for PS3 owners. )

At first, I was uninterested because SF would be simplified. Then the graphics were not so good. Now I find myself intrigued. I just hope this really is as multi-platform as Yoshinori Ono has stated. I already own a Wii and Hori sticks and have no desire to buy another console and/or arcade sticks.
