Chrono Trigger bonus music CD not exclusive to GameStop photo

I can't seem to find any evidence now of GameStop saying that the Chrono Trigger bonus music CD and poster were an exclusive pre-order perk, but I do remember seeing that. Don't you? Well, it turns out that this offer wasn't so exclusive.

Stephen at Aeropause flipped back and forth, stomach turning under the stress, losing sleep at night. Should he change his Amazon pre-order back to GameStop because of the goodies? He couldn't decide. In the end, he didn't, as Amazon had the lower price.

When his copy of Chrono Trigger DS arrived in the mail, it was shrinkwrapped with both the CD and the poster. This was probably a first-run deal or something, but still.  GameStop, were you trying to pull a fast one on us?

Same thing happened to me. Ordered it off of Amazon the day before it came out. Got the CD (Only has 2 songs) and the poster. :D I was happy, because I also got $5 off my next game purchase.

I'm still hoping/waiting my EB Games gets them in like they said they would . . . damn Canada getting shafted on pre-order bonuses . . .

I just got the poster that was offered in the first-run. It's packaged in the games case. I didn't reserve it, but since it was only two songs it was no biggie on my part.

For the record, the SNES original came with TWO posters, this one and another one of the whoe Chrono gang sleeping.

Gamestop has claimed to have special deals in the past as well. They called the Scorpion Suit for Dead Space an exclusive, but you could buy it as DLC for about $2 the week of launch. I figure it might be the same for the classic Prince costume in the new Prince of Persia.

Well first off, the soundtrack has only two tracks on it; second, yeah its for sure not exclusive, never heard em say it was but we've got a stack of them at work somewhere, and I don't work at gamestop.

Yeah, I ordered mine a week after release and mine came with a CD and a nice poster. I got mine from amazon.com. It had a sticker that told me this information and that it was for "first run only" so.. grab a copy.

Gamestop sucks, the people there always seem to have a very pretentious attiude. I once asked about the 8 -bit simon belmont that came with dracula x chronicles and I got the $hittiest look and the kid saying in one decibel lower than a yell "YOU ONLY GET THAT IF YOU PRE ORDERED!" I don't visit those stores often, only to get a used copy of an old gem... IF they have it.
