You come to in a strange land, temporarily blinded by the bright cornflower blue expanse of sky stretching in all directions. You pull your hat down to shield your eyes from an invisible sun, and brush flecks of dust from your overalls which are caked in the sweat of a hard day's work. "This is like that trip to Vegas," you think, remembering how your brother Luigi ditched you in the desert for a few hours to score with some floozy with a flowery name.
Almost on cue, you hear a scream from somewhere to the east. You instinctively reach for your wrench, but you seem to have left your tool belt at home (wherever home was). "Oh well." You crack your knuckles, prepared for the worst.
At your feet, the brick path shows signs of wear and tear all over -- you are not the first to travel this road. A cloud floats by above you, looking eerily like the bushes next to you. It must be the sun playing tricks with your head.
Only one way to go: East.
As you start to walk eastward (knowing direction without the aid of a compass or the sun is an intrinsic instinct to plumbers) you see two peculiar sights: a floating box with a question mark emblazoned on the side, and an odd-looking creature that looks like the offspring of a man and a portobello mushroom.

Jump on the Mushroom?

@chrissmith9c: It took about four hours between conception and having all the pages posted! If you notice the time-stamp on many of the pages are drastically different.
I wish I could have gone into even more detail, though, as World 1-1 is so iconic, but trying to 'keep track' of certain power-ups would have probably doubled the number of blogs. Thanks for playing, everyone!

The thing that most people are wowed at is how this was done using the Cblogs. To my knowledge, the Cblogs hadn't been used in that way before, or at least not to that extent. I had the idea brewing for a bit, but didn't know what sort of Video-Game related adventure I could use. World 1-1 is so iconic (being around for about 25 years now) that it was almost a shoe-in. ArcticFox thought Oblivion would make a great one starting with: "Choose your Race/Gender" and proceeding through the rest of the game. I apologize in advance to all the faithful readers of the Community Blogs if this causes a meme. But if it does, make sure yours has a "Renegade Option" (or a poem, poem's are nice).
