Here's something I'd never thought we would see again. Square Enix is developing a new Chocobo Racing game for the 3DS. Tenatively titled Chocobo Racing 3D, I assume it will consist largely of riding on the backs of chocobos in some sort of speed-oriented competition. But then there's that screenshot of the girl who looks like she's whacking a crystal with a hammer. Lord only knows what that could mean.
Chocobo Racing is one of my all-time favorite PlayStation One titles. On many a night, I would sit in my room with a friend of mine until the sun came up, ruthlessly cutting one another off, cursing and then devastating the opposition by a well-timed blast of Holy level 3. This is exciting news indeed.

yes those DS remakes of nes games that were already remade for the GBA a couple years prior are what I refer to when talking about Square enix shafting the DS. Meanwhile the PSP got Crisis Core, Kingdom Hearts Birth By sleep, and Dissida Final Fantasy, which obviously are games that Square enix put on the PSP because of their graphic whoreism.
Even the original DS games like 358/2 days, and tactics advanced 2, seemed like recycled asset fests, just to fund their high profile PSP games.
