OneBigGame has announced that its musical puzzler Chime will hit Xbox LIVE Arcade on February 3.
Chime's gameplay has a Lumines-like feel, with players placing blocks on a grid to create quads. When a quad is created, different musical samples are triggered depending on the shape; the size of the quad dictates the score. Chime features five tracks created by artists like Moby and Orbital's Paul Hartnoll.
The game was developed by Zoe Mode for OneBigGame... for free. All of Zoe Modes' royalties for Chime will go to Save the Children and Starlight Children’s foundation. Ironically, what wasn't announced was the title's price; we're checking in with OneBigGame and we'll update when we have more details. The game will cost 400 MS Points.
I can see myself playing this till 4am while baked out of my mind. Also, an ad before the video, an ad during the video, and an ad after the video. Dtoid, you've gone too far!
How lovely to have a nice, relaxing trailer in which someone calmly and politely tells you what the game is about.
I know it's just another tetris/lumines type thing, but that stuff is like catnip to me, especially at 400 points. Heck, it looks more entertaining than some of the titles XBLA has been asking 1200 points for recently. Plus, charity donation = morality GET!
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

Anyway, yeah, Phillip Glass. How can I refuse?
