Chill out with Hohokum on August 12

The original design for Hohokum, as shown this making-of video, doesn't look very good at all. Thankfully, after a "long, strange, meandering journey," developer Honeyslug settled on something that is truly great. It's set for release on PS3, PS4, and PS Vita on August 12, 2014.

Ever since my first hands-on with Hohokum almost exactly a year ago, I've been longing to play again and get lost in its world, uninterrupted. It's one of those games where movement itself is a joy -- it just feels right. The music and art are also great, but that goes without saying.

It's wild to hear that work on the game, which began as a side project, started way back in 2008. Thank goodness it was given the necessary time to flourish.

Hohokum soothes the minds of everyone who plays it

We recently had the pleasure of diving into Hohokum with Sr. Producer, Zach Wood, live on Dtoid.TV. It seemed to put everyone in the room into a technicolor joy trance, and we've heard similar reports of players elsewhere being pacified by the vibrant world of Hohokum. Watch the video above to see for yourself.more

Unfair: Gorgeous Hohokum shows off the Fun Fair

Hohokum was the first game I played on PS4. The hectic din of the E3 show floor dulled as I lost myself in its beautiful world, flitting about with my kite snake, rescuing strange little people. It's all about exploration and getting lost and I love it. Now we just need a release date. Hohokum on, guys. I've been waiting patiently.more

I lost track of time with the laid-back Hohokum

Hohokum is one of the games at E3 that might just convince me to buy a PlayStation Vita already, even if it is also coming to PS3 and PS4 next year. Playing it on Vita with a nice pair of headphones seems like the only way t...more

Splatoon might be getting a lot of hype for Wii U squid battling, but it is not the first game featuring a squid squad to grace the console. Earlier this year, Squids made its jump from iOS to the Wii U with Squids Odyssey, a...more

Creators of SteamWorld Dig looking into Cross-Buy promotion

SteamWorld Dig is a great game, and worth completing multiple times over. But is it worth double, or even triple-dipping for? For some, no game is worth that much. One such fan is frustrated that he can buy the game for ...more
