Chibi-Robo DS exclusive to Wal-mart. Nobody gets told about it photo

The folks at 1up.com are reporting that Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol went on sale Tuesday, but Nintendo failed to let anybody actually know about it. Furthermore, those that did know would still have had great difficulty tracking the DS title down because its exclusive to Wal-mart and this wasn't properly revealed either. According to 1up:

Clicking to Nintendo's website and entering the Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol's product page makes absolutely no mention of the Wal-Mart deal. In fact, if you click on Nintendo's own "where to buy" button -- somewhat crucial for a game that's only being sold at a single retailer -- makes no mention of the Chibi-Robo and Wal-Mart exclusivity deal.

The only way you're expected to uncover Chibi-Robo's secret location is to check out the official Chibi-Robo website where Wal-mart is listed as the exclusive seller. However, not even that site was properly published, found tucked away at the bottom of a Nintendo press release about giving seeds to kids.

Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol is supposedly exclusive to Wal-mart because of the chain store's environmental program which ties in with the game's eco-friendly themes. It would have actually been nice if we were told that a little sooner, though.

I agree with electro. Fuck yo'Wal-Mart. I haven't shopped at one of those in about three years and I don't plan to step inside of one any time soon. Not even if they are selling Jesus Juice and giving away pure un-adulterated Joy.

You should read -D-'s harrowing experience in his attempt to find the game.

Um. Maybe it's because I'm in Canada but I've seen this game at EB Games.

Whats almost funny is I did know about it and went to Wal Mart the night it was supposed to be there according to Nintendos site(Oct 2nd) and Wal-Mart didn't have it or know anything about it. I figured all the Wal-mart employees would be wearing Chibi Robo masks or something, seeing as how important their making this joint effort between the two companies to get this game not sold.

This doesn't really make any sense, especially when you consider Wal-mart made no effort to promote its exclusiveness.
