I already have a Pocket Neo Geo, it's called a PSP.
Seriously guys, the PSP homebrew scene has almost perfectly running emulators for all systems pre-N64. There's no excuse to not have one if you enjoy playing your old games on the go.

Psp can emulate a lot of them, some near perfect, but others are shit. I'm hoping this will basically be a neo geo with downloadable/cartridge games for true emulation.

Very, very high chance of this being fake. Looks at the shoulder buttons. Not quite right with labeling, eh?
Looks like an iPhone 4 with a nub and buttons shoved onto it, not that it's a bad thing. Shame it probably won't come out of Japan.
Get some of the lesser released stuff on there. Like Real Bout 2, World Heroes 2, Last Blade 1 and 2, etc. Re-releasing the same shit over and over will just reduce the chances of this thing selling worth a shit.

As long as it plays emulators straight from the box and or plays games that can compete 3ds and PSP Vita I will get one.
It looks sexier than the other 2 for what it's worth not to mention 4 SHOULDER BUTTONS! So it should be able to play a wide varity of games I would like to see some high graphical demanding games on it too.

As long as it plays emulators straight from the box and or plays games that can compete 3ds and PSP Vita I will get one.

Nice catch, depressing though. I still don't think that is 100% confirmation that it's fake but definitely make it look closer to it.

With the exception of Fatal Fury Special, the games are more "first of a series" than "best of the early days".
Further fodder for the "Is it fake" argument:
1) The buttons are the wrong order. While you could find MVS cabinets with a square button layout, they had AB on top and CD on bottom.
2) The screen is the wrong resolution. The pictured screen is 16:9, while the NeoGeo was 4:3.

I'm thinking BS. I'd love to see SNK make a comeback (still have my Geo!), but unless they start pumping out a lot of new software this would never make it.
I would love to have this device, but I have a feeling it will be $100+ which will make it hard to justify purchasing.
Nope. All of the best Samurai Showdown's, World Heroes, Fatal Fury's, Art of Fighting's and Metal Slug's are missing. If there were plans to allow these games to be played via SD, then i'd likely purchase this.
I doubt it's a fake it just a proto is all, I'd like to see the face buttons in the correct colours.

Why does the button say menu in one pic but menu in another? Sure looks like a shop job, which is a shame.
not enough puzzle games. why is the Neo Geo always pimped as a fighting console more than a puzzle console?

Most of those games were released on SNK's Arcade Classics Vol. 1, so unless there were any extra game releases, I can't really commit to purchasing this.
This feels like one of those retro Blaze/Sega contributions... which reminds me, Blaze's GameGadget is a similar, and real, alternative. And it allows for legal emulation.

The Neo Geo is one of the few consoles I never got a chance to play. I love the look of this handheld, though -- Just the aesthetic of it makes me want one.
Well, more details are needed. As soon as the homebrew community made an emulator out of it, I would consider buying it.
