Based in the Wild West, Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood will offer a delightful change of pace for those of you stick in the space-slash-forest FPS rut. However, it may be time to start looking at it a different way. The latest trailer for the game is available after the break, and boy, does it tickle the bone that craves gritty narrative.
Judging from the trailer, Bound in Blood offers five basic Wild West videogame staples: blood, dirt, revolvers, slow-motion effects, and sexy gun-toting chicks. (Lady butt is clearly viewable in trailer.) As you can imagine, you’ll catch a few of sleek one-liners as well as some hot gun barrels.
If you’re wondering what all the hate is about in the trailer, look no further than the butt in the trailer. Apparently, the McCall brothers bond is tested because of it.
All I can think about while viewing this ok trailer is that awesome Podtoid discussion on how Western Games "aren't doing it right". This looks like it might do alright.
That was awesome! I'm very excited for both this and Red Dead Redemption.
Seriously, 2009 is the year in which fighting games and Westerns make a comeback, and I could not be happier.
P.S. Anyone know the name of the song in the trailer?
I hope this and Red Dead turn out better than I think they will. I'm itching for a western game, and haven't played a 'good' one since good old Mad Dog McCree. And that's what... almost 2 decades old at this point?

Through lyric matlockery, I found "West Won" by These United States. I would link you the sample website, but it's one of those "FREE CELLPHONE RING" thingies.
I'm so hyped I the first CoJ was one of the most underrated games ever !

Believe me , they're only adding weapons , and the first CoJ had a LOT of weapons , like , 10 different pistols , all wildy different from the other !

Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

As for Call of Juarez, I never played the first one past the demo, which my resulted in my fancy not being tickled. Still might check out the second.

I'm waiting for the game where you kill pale face.
Fucking awesome, although the lack of gun variety seems disappointing.
