We can't verify these details of the rumored sequel to Warhawk, but SystemLink says that an anonymous Sony employee has passed them along, and they look legit. Don't take these to heart just yet, but maybe start feeling hopeful.
The naughty leaker says that Starhawk, the sequel to the 2007 PS3 release Warhawk, is real. He says that this PS3 exclusive will be revealed before E3 2011. It will ship on Blu-ray as a full game.
The source says that Starhawk is a third-person shooter with jeeps, ganks, APCs and now spaceships to take control of and shoot things with. Some maps are on a planet (not Earth), and others are in space, though you won't be able to transition from planet to space in the same map.
As for the visuals, the Sony many says that a new engine will bring 'stunning visuals,' and that it will retain the slightly cartoonish visuals of Warhawk.
There has been tons of rumors about this game. These are just more for the pile. Still, I feel good that there's a game along these lines waiting in the wings. Stay tuned.

But the space only map thing concerns me because I was a die hard tanker and all you flying turds are just things I swat out of the sky with my fuck-off cannon.

Sony wins E3 in my eyes if this game is there. Warhawk is still probably my favourite game this generation.
