Check out these a-maze-ing cupcakes photo

Just when you thought the internet was fed up with game-themed food...

Here we are again at that funky time of the afternoon when you've already had lunch, but dinner is still a bit off. You've got to eat something in that 3pm time slot. Too bad we can't put the chomp on one of these delicious-looking Pac-Man cupcakes.

These lovingly crafted cakes come from the oven of hello naomi, the baker of the equally awesome Mario cupcakes that have been making the rounds lately. Check it out: the cherries even have shine marks! All I know is that if someone put that much work into how they look, they must taste great as well. Maybe not, though -- the tops are black color.

Sure, they're no Destructoid cookies (see gallery below), but these do look pretty good, right? If these don't do it for you, I'm sure you'll find something yummy here

These are win as hell, I saw them like a month ago. Her Mario ones are cool, and it seems like she's getting better everytime.

You did not just use the "a-maze-ing" pun. YOU DID NOT JUST.

I'm definitely having my wife bake some Dtoid cookies soon. Maybe next week, I'll post them in my blog.

They're going to be win. And yummy.

Fondant gives the talentless talent. They do some amazing crap with that stuff.

Just like me and Photoshop.

Okay, this has seriously inspired me to go home and make some Ninten-cookies. Mmmm!

@mix

That's the thing. It's fondant, which is a solid dough substance that tastes like frosting. It's pliable like play-doh. It's not a matter of frosting anything, it's layering a bunch of cookie cutter shapes into a bunch of recognizable patterns.

Just like Photoshop.

Making good looking stuff with fondant is a matter of how skilled you are at cutting stuff out into shapes. If you have a decent set of cookie cutting tools, you can make stuff VERY easily and you're limited to your ability to cut shapes properly.

Naomi does have robot cupcake experience; maybe you could commission a custom Dtoid job.

I think Dtoid cupcakes of that style would rule.

A Dtoid sugar cookie is kinda weak, sugar cookie is just a sweetened edible plate. You have to draw on it to give it integrity. The very name is dubious, as all cookies should contain sugar.

Cupcake, on the other hand, can stand alone. The word cake alone is too strong, people get excited, it has to be prefixed so that you know that there will only be a cup-full of cake.

I wouldn’t want to eat something so beautiful. That’d be like taking a bite out of Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa canvas.

Must discover a method to fossilize those so they never go stale. And upon the day of the apocalypse, I shall feast!

there is so many of these gaming related food item posts showing up around the internet lately.

You know that gaming is getting proper recognition when we have the gaming equivalent of seeing Elvis's face in a corn chip being reported on ;)

I was afraid the tasty here link would be pron. What else was I supposed to expect!?!? I have to agree, while black is beautiful, and I'd always bet on black, and once I go black, I never go back; those black cupcakes look supremely unappetizing. I guess we'll have to chalk this one up to the white icing cartel, that has brainwashed us in this respect.
