Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep is the latest pretentious-named Kingdom Hearts game to be hitting handheld systems, and Square Enix has revealed a swanky new PSP to commemorate the occasion. Covered in mystical runes, this new PSP-3000 will be bundled with the game on January 9 in Japan.
It's interesting to note that there isn't a special edition PSPgo. It really does seem that publishers have very little interest in having anything to do with that failed experiment. It may also indicate that a PSN version of Birth By Sleep is not on the cards, at least not for the foreseeable future.

SE hasn't been quick to put games on PSN, but it doesn't mean they won't. There's really nothing to lose in putting games on PSN.
Yes, the PSPGo is doing fantastically. In other news pigs can not only fly now but are also capable of firing laser guided rockets.
The PSP is a great console and other models are still doing admirably but to say the the Go is doing 'very well'? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Perhaps, the only reason they AREN'T seperated by Sony is to show how much of a failure they are.
That strikes me as the simpler explanation as it looks bad from a PR point of view for Sony. Occam's Razor, simple as.
But seriously Birth By Sleep makes no sense. I've been sayin' it since this name was first announced. Why Square? Why?

Comparing the PSP-2000 and PSP-3000 is silly, as you stated. Comparing it to the Go, which is significantly different, is something people do and differentiate between because it's like a completely different handheld. And that completely different handheld is doing horribly.
