The Lionhead website has a curious update to it today. The above image of Che Guevara has cropped up on a splash page with a "6" next to him. The thumbs below determine a skin on the main site when you click on them, red for a positive response and blue for a negative one. But that's all it seems to do and there's no further information on the site relating to it.
With Gamescom coming up next week and the suggestion that there's going to be a "special announcement" from Peter Molyneux, it's probably a good bet that the teaser relates to it in some way. Could the infamous teller of development tall tales be planning to incite a revolution at the event? We'll be keeping an eye out for any further developments as they arrive.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
DO EET!
what makes him a Hero exactly?
If you are refering to me;
The hero is the Unnamed hero(s) from Fable 1 & 2. I 'm refering to the Unamed hero of Fable 7 meeting with Che and Che blabbing on and on about communism.
This is behavior I would expect from some spoiled rotten Orange County asshole who wears a Che tshirt while driving around a brand new Beamer his parents got him for his birthday.
I'll hope for the best and that this is actually an announcement where you get to play as the people who hunted Che down and slaughter him. One of the most righteous kills in the history of assassinations. Anyway, glad to see that his "image" is supporting Capitalism through the sales of his ugly face t-shirts.
Che started out with good intentions, but because a murdering puppet for Castro.
I hope Peter has a decent "revolutionary" reveal though.
That is to say Che's revolution was to rid his Cuba of a tyrant only to replace it with another tyrant. That's Lionhead's games in a nutshell, promising the greatest thing every only to give you the same thing you've seen before.
I have a hoodie that has peter griffin as Che on it. I often wear it while driving in my bimmer. Do I disgust you? (Pic related)
Only if you persistently denounce capitalism yet take full advantage of the benefits which said system provides (such as a brand new Beamer, Che tshirts, etc). Then yes, you disgust me.
The image has nuanced implication, and Lionhead fair enough will get a good amount of flack from this image alone. But if they're going for something about questionable heroics, it could be interesting.
This coming from a guy that doesn't hate Peter Molynuex for his excited and vocal dreaming (and questionable delivery against hype)
On the actual subject of the article, however, Tubatic summed my feelings up rather nicely.
PLEASE BE BLACK & WHITE 3, PLEASE BE BLACK & WHITE 3, PLEASE BE BLACK & WHITE 3, PLEASE BE BLACK & WHITE 3, PLEASE BE...
You are an ignorant. Che was a rich kid with medic education that could have lived very well in the U.S. supported dictatorships all over Latin America. He fought for his views as much as America fights for its own, none is necessarily right, and both have done horrible things.
Take it easy folks.
A few months ago Che was the featured article on wikipedia and I don't remember the neutral article seeming so condescending. How about we all do a double take, both me and you (everyone else).
I hope your analysis is true.
Ahh then, we are all set. I love capitalism, I wouldn't have it any other way. Also, Beamer = motorcycle, Bimmer = car, just fyi.
