Tickets now available at all locations
We'd like to thank everyone that dropped by our gaming lounge at TigerDirect's Annual Build-your-own PC Race for Charity, where Ryan Hoekenga conquered and won airfare, hotel, and shopping loot to participate in the finals in Vegas. Check out the video and photo gallery to see what the fuss is all about! A special thanks to Intel, Microsoft, Workshop, GameWars, and everyone else that made that event a success. We expected a thousand attendees and over 4,000 humans rolled through. Madness. I even got to embarrass myself in front of Anna Kendrick!
Tomorrow the race continues in Delaware, and tickets are still available for the final three regional competitions. Destructoid's own King Foom will be broadcasting from the Chicago event, so swing by and photobomb our camera. The full event schedule follows below.
Here's the video from Miami's PC race:
TigerDirect has donated over $2.5 million in computer equipment to schools and non-profits since the event's inception. The races are free to watch, no press passes or tickets are necessary, so please come on down and help us support a worthy cause. The next four races take place at regional TigerDirect Outlet stores - check the above links for location and times.
[Disclosure: Destructoid is a partial sponsor, and perhaps our staff may have sipped a cocktail or ten while promoting this event. Join us for the finals at CES next January in Las Vegas, baby!]
