Champions Online now has over 1 million heroes photo

Champions Online now has over one million characters fighting and bashing baddies across its digital world.

Earlier this afternoon, Cryptic Studios and publisher Atari announced that the MMO now has more than one million created characters, making it the first game named Champions Online to reach the one million created characters mark.

While we have no way of confirming this, it appears that only one of those million characters are named Brad Nicholson, despite the writer’s best attempt at getting people to mold a character in his likeness in the game.

The official announcement mentions and reminds us that the game is free-to-play over this Halloween weekend, which happens to overlap the Blood Moon event that features werewolves and Canadian zombies among other thrilling MMO things. Also, it's cheaper now.

But one million characters is no joke -- that’s a lot of super dudes. Since there’s no mention of one million players, we’re left to ponder something: how many characters have you created in Champions Online?

Do the 360 and PC servers overlap? Can 360 owners play with PC owners?

yet another champions post.

i guess they failed to mention those numbers also count from the characters made from alpha...and while 1 million sounds like alot it's not considering it's been a year and a half since beta was started and still is going on.

also this kinda proves my point as to why this crap game is getting more press yet again while other games are out there ?

destructiod may seem like a site that gives honest reviews and tell it like it is mentality but it's not .

deleting d-toid link i can get better info for games on Wikipedia or just visiting a company's website and or advertisements.
