Actually, I’m just being dramatic. Game|Life’s Kohler was on the other side of the Attack of the Show discussion I just recorded regarding E for All, but we didn't fight. We just butted heads a little on how we thought the expo went.

Honestly, I agree with a lot of the stuff he said: the show was a little too expensive, there could have been way more to play, and trying to compete with PAX next year (E for All 2008 will be the same weekend as next year’s Seattle-based show) is a very bad decision.

But gosh darnit I had so much fun at the show last week and I know there must be people out there that agree with me. Could it have been cheaper? Yeah. Could there have been more stuff to do? Totally. But it was the show’s first attempt and they really should be commended for trying something that keeps the general public in the spotlight. Besides, I got to hang out with some amazing people and I had FUN! Doesn’t that count for something?

Anyway, you can watch how well I defended Chris’s Shoryukens above. I hope I did okay … if not, be gentle.

I blame the stupid fires. I didn't have internet for most of the day at work because apparently Verizon's internet lines were affected or something. It was terrible.

I accidentally left my window open Sunday night and now all my shit is covered in a fine layer of ash. Plus I'm going up to the Bay Area Friday and I swear to god if the 5 is closed because of this shit I think I'm going to stab someone.

Yea, I actually heard that there's a ton of fires in Mexico too but the US media doesn't care about them so they're not reporting it. What's it like down there? I'm assuming since you're in TJ you're just getting fallout from the SD ones, but are there others going on that are actually in Mexico?

Yeah, there were/are some fires but nothing as big as on your side. And thankfully not on very populated areas.

Still a lot of people from over here (my self included) have family on the US or some other work over there, so one way or the other we are also affected.

The one bad thing I will say about Chris is that he talked too much. Seemed a little over-eager to put in his two cents. Rest assured though, he's a good guy. Any arrogance you heard was probably... uh... not arrogance? I don't know.

Destructoid is one of the best game blogs on the net, hell I even bought the T-shirt, literally.

But Chris Kohler is the about most thoughtful, insightful game blogger I read, and I read a lot of game blogs.

Well played Chad and Chris, I just love that guys like you are getting on TV to talk seriously about games and gaming related shit.

E for All was a ton of fun, but I completely agree that what I got out of the show really wasn't worth traveling all the way from Atlantic Canada. By lunchtime on Friday I pretty much started to get bored. I still hung around I had fun, but it wasn't the OMFG fun that I was expecting. Thankfully I stayed a whole week and did a lot of other stuff so the trip was completely worth it. If I just went to E for All I probably would have regretted the trip.

BTW, I saw you guys several times and wanted to say hi, but I didn't really know what anybody looks like. I know your voices (Retroforce Go ftw!), but there'd be that awkward moment of "Okay, who is who?". :p
