CES: Hulu Plus, Netflix getting Kinect support in spring photo

At its CES keynote this evening, Microsoft announced that Netflix on Xbox 360 would finally be getting Kinect support this spring. The Kinect-enabled Netflix was shown briefly, and included swiping through menus, and will support similar voice and motion commands to Microsoft's current Zune video services.

Additionally, Hulu's subscription service, Hulu Plus, will also be available on Xbox 360 this spring. Like with Netflix, Hulu Plus will support Kinect functionality, including motion controls and voice.

Am I the only one that sees the double edged sword with voice commands. because wile you are watching something some douche could come In and end your movie or mess with you. At least with a controller you can prevent it somewhat. And to me using a controller is seems much faster and more accurate then using my hand.

This is awesome; I wish this had been in place for launch, but better late than never.

If a douche really wanted to turn off your movie, he would just hit the Xbox's power button...hahahah.

Also, I agree a controller is precise, but I guess the point is you don't always have to reach for it if you just want to watch a movie and chill with your friends. I've also found lounging down on the couch, and waving my hand at the TV is pretty convenient sometimes for a naptime movie.

@ Stop Spoilers:
I see your point, but if you are watching movies with someone who is that much of an asshat, you might want to reconsider who you invite into your door. Or just get some duct tape.

It's awesome to finally have Netflix and Hulu Plus for Xbox 360 users. Now we can enjoy watching videos online whenever we want with the use of our Xbox 360. These devices would require internet connection though, and it would be great to get them connected wirelessly through a wireless network in your home. However, old Xbox 360s aren't WiFi-enabled. You have nothing to worry though, here's a solution for that problem. Check out the Xbox 360 Internet Connection Kit from Netgear, it acts as a WiFi adapter giving wireless internet connectivity for your Xbox 360, and it also works for your PS2, PS3, and PC gaming. Just visit this link: http://bit.ly/bByST7, for more information about this wonderful product from Netgear.
