We first saw the Peregrine glove back at E3. If you'll recall, the wearable human interface device allows users to execute commands by connecting leads all along the fingers and palm. You can program the glove with up to 30 keystrokes and it has all sorts of applications for gaming and beyond.
I'm looking forward to being able to bring up internet porn by putting my fingers together in the universal sign for "OK" and possibly finding some other, less practical use. Like, learning how to play an RTS game or something. While we had been told that the glove would be out last year, some manufacturing delays have pushed the release back. I've been assured that the Peregrine will be available at the end of this quarter.
The glove is going to retail for $149.99. If you like, you can pre-order the glove from the Peregrine website right now and save twenty bucks. And check out some new product shots in our gallery.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Bravo.
You missed the reference then.
you can almost buy a wii for that much and get more bang for you buck.
(Smex is the general term I use for any nerdy input device with is both actually useful and snazzy).
also, this pic again!
after reading the website, its only left handed! i don't know if it accepts multiple touches, so moving forward and strafing together are unknown.
this will flop hard. really hard. bet.
But right now, if you control movement + other shit with this, it will just end up clunky.
Sad, this always looked so awesome.
So if you were using the glove for movement, then everything else you have mapped to your keyboard would require you to stop moving if you want to use them with the glove.
Might work with and RTS, but then again, why would you want to do that if you need to use a mouse too anyway.
