While cruising through the "Best of CES" showcase this week, Dale and I observed that the PSPgo received an "Honorable Mention." Good for Sony.
But wait, what's that? Why is the PSPgo all covered with dust? It's almost as though somebody didn't care enough about it to give the thing a quick wipe-down before shoving it into a glass case. Or perhaps it's a statement on how much use the little guy is getting.
I know my standard PSP spends most of its time just sitting around. Sometimes, I like to imagine that it's having conversations with my other, older gadgets and handhelds. The sort of thing that you would have read about in The Velveteen Rabbit until Toy Story came along and will now forever be the only reference to this idea ever. Culture. Pshaw.
For those of you who have a PSPgo, or any PSP for that matter, does yours have these same telltale signs of neglect?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
This reminds me, I have to finish FF7...
Mostly, I feel Sony is the one that's neglecting PSP, not gamers.
Yeah, I always have it in my hands/pocket. Playing FF7, FF8, Dissidia (Digital), SoulCalibur, and Monster Hunter often.
GoW:CoO was good but too short..
I don't know why I think of these things.
Sadly, this.
I hope developers don't decide to just quit making good games for the PSP after I've played all the titles I need to get through.
I noticed there was no top 10 list for the PSP for this year. Why's that?
Other than that I just bought Dissidia @ Target for 20 bucks last week and before that it was...patapon 2? I keep WANTING to buy psp games (especially from PSN) but for some reason my mental limit on pricing is 20 dollars with handhelds. Then once they get to about 10 I wonder why the hell they're so cheap. It's a fine line to walk when pricing handheld games. Also pricing parity sucks (as my recent Dissidia purchase is testament to, on PSN its still 40)
And I use my PSP at least once a day. It's my game machine for when I poop. So I guess calling the PSP Go is even more appropriate for me than Sony meant it as.
But I will buy a Go the day my old PSP is no good anymore. Should be awhile, though.
IT SAVED MY SANITY!
I DL'ed all I could afford and all I can say is that FF7 got a shitload of play.... Mainly coz I was stuck in a shithole village in Gujarat and all I had for entertainment was my MP3 player, my severely underpowered netbook and my PSPGo.
Now it comes to work with me every day due to the fact I got FIFA 10 for it...... It is well loved. Much more so than my wife apparently.
Don't forget The Indian in the Cupboard.
@burnblaze
Had I a PSP last year when I travelled India it would have made things much more merry. As it was all I brought was my DS with FF3 and some Dragonball Z game - it did the job but maaan a PSP would have been sweet.
