A few Destructoid readers requested that we get video of some of the new stages of Street Fighter IV, and Capcom was glad to show them to us at a meeting yesterday.
The first stage you'll see in the video above is an underpass makeshift battleground. There's a bunch of junky cars and weird children cheering in the background -- keep an eye out for the creepy man-child, too. Trains will periodically move over this pretty slick-looking stage.
The next part of the video shows off the volcano stage as well as Dan's hot moves. Capcom's Seth Killian picks up controller 2 to show our very own Nick Chester a thing or two. Because of the extreme difference in skill level, this gives Seth a chance to show us Dan's idle animation and his crazy Ultra Combo at the end.

Like with RE5, I'm a little lukewarm towards SFIV...except for the Dan part of the game. The completely nailed what makes the character so great. Everything from his character model to his animations to that water-infused shoryuken are all GENIUS.
I've never wanted this game as much as I do now. It looks like it's going to be great. Dan's idle animation is pretty funny too, sorta looks like the hadouken hand motion.
I. i noticed some boob physics with crimson viper.
II. i love the way dan runs!
III. this game is looking soooo much better now.
IV. i cant wait for this!
Was everyone else getting 2-3 fps? It seems every video on Dtoid from that svc (not youtube) runs extremely slow, wondering if it was just me or mebbe someting else (cam, site, etc.)
I really hope they stick w/ the original type of music and don't fill the game w/ that garbage that was DLC on PSN (OC Remix crap)

Way after the fact, but I'd have to mention that this guy's an idiot. :-D
We didn't make the DLC "Street Fighter Underground Remix" album. Plus, the Redman track on there, "Lay You Out", was great.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Depending on what Capcom delivers in the summer and fall, they might be a hot competitor for Best Developer of 09
Also, Dan is easily one of my favorite video game characters, and he is SO awesome in this one.

Also, Dan had a perfect victory over my nerdy goosebumps.
