I couldn't for the life of me figure out why the name "CellFactor" sounded so damn familiar, until I finally remembered a free PC game called CellFactor: Revolution.

In case you had forgotten, this game was used to demonstrate how Ageia PhysX cards could turn every day, ordinary objects like hundreds of neatly-stacked boxes and barrels into the spectacle to end all f'ing spectacles.

Since I have spent so much time reminiscing, and I'd prefer not having to reiterate what the Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network title CellFactor: Psychokinetic Wars is all about, I'll let you catch up by reading an earlier post we did on the game.

For everyone else, the video above is a somewhat humorous machinima piece, while the clip after the break is a straight-up gameplay trailer for the negative Nancy in attendance -- you know who you are.

Hmm. Doesn't look that bad, to be honest. Here's to hoping it finds a following.

The orginal pc version was very laggy even you you had and high end pc back in 2006. The only way you could play it at the time was if you had the physx card installed. Hopefully that won;t be the case for this version.

See I don't see what's wrong the game looks like an amusing Tournament style game with some decent character variation. I never got to try the original but I heard it played poorly but was (and it looked like) a really neat physics sandbox.

It'll be at most like what, $15 for this version...it's missing most of the physics but hey it seems like it'll be alright. We haven't had any physic games in ages.
