What do you do in order to make what BioWare and Electronic Arts are calling "the first blockbuster of 2010" even bigger? We're talking about Mass Effect 2, and you toss a bunch of celebrities at it!
The list is pretty big, so let me just throw it out there: Martin Sheen ("Illusive Man"); Shohreh Aghdashloo ("Admiral Shala'Raan vas Tonbay"); Seth Green ("Joker"); Yvonne Strahovski ("Miranda Lawson"); Adam Baldwin ("Kal 'Reegar"); Keith David ("Admiral David Anderson"); Michael Dorn ("Gatatog Uvenk"); Tricia Helfer ("EDI"); Michael Hogan ("Captain Bailey"); and Carrie-Anne Moss ("Aria T'Loak").
Some of the names are familiar to the Mass Effect universe, while some are fresh. Sheen voices the "Illusive Man," commander of a secret paramilitary operation called Cerberus. Strahovski (pictured above, because I know our demographic) voices a Cerebus operative, "genetically engineered for superior mental and physical traits."
"The first blockbuster of 2010," Mass Effect 2, ships on January 26 for PC and Xbox 360.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Sometimes I can't take Seth Green (Joker) seriously cause in the back of my mind, I think about Chris from Family Guy
The Riddick (movies)series'..
Requiem for A Dream..
Dead Presidents..
...and every videogame known to man.
This game is now 100% more Klingon!
John Carpenter's The Thing and They Live! Awww yeaaaah.
This makes me very happy indeed.
"Admiral Hackett, 5th Fleet out."
C'mon!!!
I think everyone on my PSN would want this title.
*prays*
And assuming Jennifer Hale is still voicing my Sheperd I will gasm from the beginning of disc 1 to the end of disc 2.
Arec Bardwin needs to be in here as well.
@Banana
It's because Yvonne Strahovski and Adam Baldwin are co-stars on Chuck, so less people would mention Firefly.
But I'd still take Wrex french voice over the english one anytime.
I really don't know what to expect, except that it'll be good, since a lot of these people are actually pretty good voice actors. There's no trace of Australian in Sarah Walker's voice, and I doubt you'll be hearing Chris Griffin in this game just because Seth Green is in this.
Oops sorry not enough coffee this morning. Got the non-Baldwin Baldwin mixed up with the 30 Rock Baldwin. Nothing to see here people.
I wonder why Kahlee Sanders isn't in ME2.
also Tricia Helfer always gets a thumbs up in my books
and pants.
Sure, with games becoming more profitable and mainstream, we might get some fresh blood from Hollywood, but right now it seems like Keith David is going to play every military official in every game ever.
Also, Goliath. =3
For one, it eliminates the annoying suspension of disbelief when it's obviously an actor. (Made especially worse when the character looks like an actor - Seth Green and Joke, for instance).
For another, companies keep losing money. Maybe they could save some cash on this and keep some people employed. Or at least whine less about sales.
