Celebrity presenters and attendees announced for Spike VGAs photo

Maybe you don't care, but you should -- Spike's annual Video Game Awards airs this Sunday, December 14 at 9:00 PM ET. It's live, and all sorts of stuff is going down, including the world premiere of gameplay from God of War III, Brutal Legend, and more.

If that's not enough, maybe seeing hot Hollywood celebrities say things like "first-person shooter" and "Guitar Hero" will do it for you. Spike has announced a list of celebrity presenters and attendees which includes: Mike Tyson, Kristen Kreuk, Peter Moore, Kiefer Sutherland, Neil Patrick Harris, Kim Kardashian (along with her ass), and more. (The full list of revealed attendees can be found after the jump.)

Spike has also announced that LL Cool J will be performing, in addition to the previously announced performance by 50 Cent (which will have some sort of Blood on the Sand routine).

I know a lot of you guys are skeptical of the show -- past VGAs have been literred with some awfully cringe-worthy moments. But after speaking with Spike's Geoff Keighley about the awards yesterday (our full interview will run this Thursday), I'm confident there will be enough for gamer's to check out to make it at least worth watching. Keighley tells me that there should be something you'll want to see every five to seven minutes throughout the show.

Oh, and did I mention God of War III world premiere gameplay footage? Yeah, I did -- but I wanted to mention it again.

Eliza Dushku is apparently a huge WoW crackhead.

Also, she has two different coloured eyes, like Yuna.

Yes I am that nerdy.

But anyway. GoWIII FTW.

I bet GOD3 and Brutal Legend win some awards at the VGAs even though they arent even released (hasnt this happened in the past at this show?)

But hooray for Brutal Legend gameplay, although it seems odd. Usually the game hype ladder goes Pre-Rendered Scene -> Gameplay -> Gamer Fapping. Brutal Legend went Pre-Rendered Scene -> Fapping -> Fapping -> Gameplay.

Someday, the likes of Will Wright, Cliffy B, and Jonathan Blow will be showing up at Hollywood's stupid movie award shows to make token appearnces. Until then, we'll just have to deal with these handouts from "real celebrities" at our awards presentations.

A few minutes of God of War III footage -- which will be available on the internets moments after it airs -- weighed against an hour or two of programming that will probably make 'The Hills' look like 'Band of Brothers.'

Hmmmm.

I'm so there!

busta rhymes will apparently do anything to try and stay relevant.

manager: wanna be a presenter at the VGA's?

busta: whats the VGA's?

m: the video game award show

b: ohh. you mean like ninetendo and atari?

m: yes! exactly!

b: nah, im not really into that.

m: well, you do have an album coming out and free pub is better than no pub, busta.

b: but im busta rhymes, everyone knows me!

m: everyone, make some noise if you know who busta rhymes is

*crickets*

b: ok, ill do it!

(50 bucks says his shirt has a promo on it)

also, busta rhymes can be switched for any name on the list.

i'd only watch for Stacy Keibler. That's more than enough seeing she's grown so much from a cheerleader, WWF, and then showbiz.

plus she's from MD, has legs, and uh....has legs. I don't care about any of the other stuff.

and Yea...i'll wait for the GoWIII footage to hit the web. 10 mins after it's shown.
