Celebrate July 4th with the Sacktue of Liberty photo

Just because Media Molecule is based in England, that’s not going to stop it  from celebrating the United States’ Independence Day.

The developer has announced that it will be offering up some free LittleBigPlanet downloadable content in celebration, with a “Sacktue of Liberty” costume. The awful pun is awful, but it’s exactly what it sounds like, complete with a torch with glowing fabric flames.

The costume hits the PlayStation Network this Thursday, July 2, for a limited time only. Downloading it is safer than lighting off fireworks in your living room. Trust us.

Actually its pretty safe to light fireworks in your house, just make sure your window is open and they're aimed at the house across the street:).

I'm still in love with LittleBigPlanet. Not because of these costumes but I just love the game itself.

I think that LBP has helped re-define "DLC" LOL! It seems that every week there is something new (and much of it being free!)

@DinnertimeNinja
Why you dont make your own levels? I thought Lbp was all about creating unlimited kinds of levels in the most easyest, fastest way ever? Just wondering

@sirplayedallot,

I agree, and the user-made levels have kept me interested for quite some time, but they simply pale in comparison to the professionally made levels.

I probably wouldn't even be whining about getting some more if they hadn't whet my appetite with the completely awesome MGS levels.

Also, there's been so many rumors about actual LEVEL packs and content from a bunch of crossover games like Final Fantasy, Ico/SotC, Ratchet and Clank, that it's hard for me NOT to want them!
