RudeBootie on Reddit has decided to gather a bunch of animated backgrounds from fighting games like Garou: Mark of the Wolves and The Last Blade for seemingly no reason in particular. (As if a reason is ever needed.) The end result, an album of 125 images, should either induce nostalgia, that feeling you get when you look at excellent pixel art, or quite likely both.

Pretty cool way to go about reliving memories or finding out about games you missed out on originally. This work holds up so well.

I have a huge collection of fighting game backgrounds as gifs. Figured you guys might appreciate it. [Reddit -- Thanks, Morty]
