Cave Story-inspired platformer Momodora III is out on Steam for $5

10:45 AM on 07.09.2014

Momodora III went through Greenlight earlier this year, and now it is finished and available on Steam for purchase. Though it looks like it plays more like Shovel Knight, the visuals seem to remind most of the legendary indie metroidvania Cave Story, and that is never a bad thing.

Even though the Steam Sale is over, players can grab this without spending too much. It goes for $4.99, but for those not willing to spend even that much, Momodora I and II are still available for free on developer rdein's Bombservice site.

Shovel Knight looks great in 16-bit, Aegis Defenders just looks great

Oh my goooddd. How did I miss this until now? It's like a Nausicaa game. Thank you sir Shovel Knight for making a cross over appearance (above) in Aegis Defenders, which is how it came to my attention.  The Kickstarter already passed its initial funding goal and its PS4 stretch goal. Local co-op and a Wii U version are up next. Here's hoping. This looks amazing. more
