Cave Story 3D slides back to November photo

With today's announcement that Cave Story 3D has been pushed back to November 8 in the United States, the holiday season for 3DS owners gets that much busier. Why the delay? "Additional game improvements."

"We are currently undergoing improvements to enhance gameplay," says NIS America producer Jack Niida. "Changes are in the small details, but in order to satisfy both the fans and the new players we need to make sure the game is done right."

Can't say I'm too bummed given the nature of the delay, but I was really looking forward to playing this before the end of the year. Ah well. Enjoy these newest screenshots while you're here.

Review: Cave Story 3D

Cave Story is a modern classic. Sadly, many people still haven't ever played it, even though it's been released on WiiWare, DSiWare, and the iTunes App store. That's probably partly due to its retro look. It's hard to generat...more

Cave Story 3D interview and DS to 3DS comparison video

Now that I've actually seen Cave Story 3D in person, I'm totally confident with the game's visuals. The way that objects scroll both in the foreground and the background and the way the camera zooms in and out at strategic m...more

Plenty of downloadable courses, characters coming to Mario Golf: World Tour

Namco has made another Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures

Coming to PS3, 360, Wii U, and 3DS this fall, a sequel to "an emotionless venture that's devoid of any soul or effort." I guess Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, which is based on the new Pac-Man television series, did well enough to warrant a sequel.more

New Ace Attorney 3DS game takes place in Japan's Meiji period

Famitsu's latest issue tells us that a new Ace Attorney 3DS game is on its way. Phoenix Wright's ancestor is the star, it looks like. That makes sense, as the game takes place during Japan's Meiji era (September 1868 through ...more
