I'm hoping it's good. But overall, I'm more excited about the idea of a a new Persona after this comes out.
I'll probably buy it because of my pathetic weakness to sexy marketing, so I am REALLY hoping the gameplay ends up being good.
A phone card? like the cards with X amount of money on them that you use on payphones? those phone cards? really? someone please tell me that isn't what that is.

I don't think it's too unlikely that we'll see some sort of special edition when Catherine gets released in N/A. Judging from Atlus's past they have came out with a lot of special editions for their Persona games.
again, I just don't understand why someone would buy this? You can do the same thing for free by downloading porn and playing minesweeper.

Here's to hoping that I won't be picking this up from the bargin bin 4 months after release? It'll be worth a buy, but the question is will it be worth the price? Then again, every year, millions of suckers buy COD for a full $60 and have no regret, so I shouldn't have a problem forking over the inevitable $45 for a game that at least tries a new concept. I just wish that the cover art wasn't so "hide in the back of my game collection so no one knows I play fap games."
On a side note, I love the amount of people who are clueless as to what this game is. Too bad we don't have sites which search through the internet, or ones which catalog information. Yep.

I'm just rather annoyed at people writing the game off:
(1) Without any acknowledgment that Person 3 and 4 were very damn good
(2) Based on a little sex appeal. Oh no, it makes my feel funny in my jeans.
(3) Because its not Persona 5 - Oh STFU. Three versions of P3, a rerelease of the original game complete with the Snow Queen Quest, Persona 4 and now P2: Innocent Sin, which NA and EU territories never got before.
We need another Persona game? Really? I think we've pretty saturated with them.
Should we just chain the Persona team to their desks and force them to crank out Persona forever or can we do the healthy thing and let them have a chance to make an original game for a change? You know, so Persona doesn't get stale?
I think the latter is a good idea, especially given that the Calender system, social links and weather patterns of P4 drove the team to want to kill each other.

I think this game will fail on concept alone. A slice-of-life game mixed with climbing a nightmarish tower? Fail.

1. Just because a studio has produced good games in the past does not guarantee they will succeed at a genre they have no experience with
2. "Little sex appeal"? They have been throwing cartoon tits in the advertising since day one until about the last eighth of the game's existence to hide garbage gameplay.

This game is not coming to the US. There are several videos on the japan marketplace and not 1 single mention of it in the US so everyone who wants this will have to import.

Huh, usually you'd expect a game like this to come with a pillow COVER, not the pillow itself. Perhaps it's... specially-shaped...?

Over-saturated? Not really, no. P3 was about 3-4 years ago. Then a re-release (essentially like a GOTY version we see everywhere now) and then a handheld version.

And of course the re-releases of the originals which are all handhelds.

i think a Persona 5 is a must :D but a new Shin Megami Tensei is even better with Digital Devil Saga or Nocturne Cellshading Art Style.

I'm hoping they balance the sexuality and horror elements of the game. Use the sensual parts to disarm the player or add squick to the horror aspects, not just be a glorified porn-game. Still watching this title with gaurded optimism.
Man, sounds like it might be a bit pricey. Hopefully, at the very least the posters will make their way to the US/EU special/collectors editions. That alone is well worth a few extra bucks. Personally, I wish more games had posters that came with them. Be it from a preorder like Black Ops or with the games themselves like Oblivion/GTA and such. I'd be more inclined to get them day one rather than wait for a price drop/rental.
This is the type of thing I would buy and then hide in my closet so my roommates/family never sees it.

The point I was making is that a lot of people a crucifying this game for having certain elements that were also in Persona 3, yet P3 was apparently one of their most favorite games of all time. The only real difference, from what I can tell, is that you are running away from monsters instead of fighting them in turn-based rock-paper-scissors battles.
