We've ripped the wrapper off a brand new, early copy of the deluxe edition Catherine boxset. This "Love is Over" edition goes for about $79.99 and includes a copy of the game (both Xbox 360 and PS3 are available), a naughty pillowcase, a cool t-shirt, soundtrack CD, artbook and a pair of boxers just like the ones Vincent wears (and pees in) in the game. With all of this you can get sucked in the sheets! It all fits into a Stray Sheep pizza box.
I think that this is one of the coolest sets yet to come from Atlus. The only downside? Atlus has added to your laundry pile!
Atlus was nice enough to send us an early copy. You'll get yours on July 26th. Have you already pre-ordered this deluxe box?
That's really damn impressive considering the price.
Is this gonna' be released in the UK at all, perhaps? Just wondering if you guys know, and if so, hoping the price range is equivalent to the US pricing because that's a damn good deal.
(I'm perhaps the only gay guy this excited for this game.)
@Ryan
Why does it matter that your gay? Most of us are playing it because we love Atlus/Persona team and the story looks interesting(and puzzle games). Not many give a crap about anime cleavage. I'm sure many gay gamers are looking forward to it. Its a silly comment to make.
After seeing all of the extra stuff that comes with it, I am adamant that Atlus chose those particular items with the intention of players furiously masturbating while they are not playing the game.
Sorry Dale, but AtlusAram did an unboxing that was much better. Yours was good too though! Both videos just so happened to come out today though. I ended up changing over to the Love Is Over Edition instead of the normal pre-order today since it looks pretty amazing and I've got the cash. Was a little put off by the creepy pillowcase and the fact that I didn't need the boxers, but they will be good collectors items. That pillowcase specifically will be quite the investment down the road.
Sigh, yet another gaming promotion that assumes all gamers require a Large. As someone of average height who eats quite a bit *cough*MATT*cough* but actually exercises quite a bit, a Small or even a Medium would have been great. Kind of annoyed that gaming companies assume gamers are all fat...
I'd have gotten this edition if it let you choose what sizes you get, but Large is way to big I wear a small, most gamers I know don't even wear large. I think pre-orders that come with clothes should ask you what size you are, if you pre-ordered the game ahead of time I don't see why they can't just make one in your size, and if you buy one after release it should just come with a voucher where you order your size online, through the mail or over the phone.
Had to cancel my pre-order because the audio issue was just pretty horrible on my setup, unfortunately :( I'm hoping the UK gets Catherine with the audio optimized correctly like the Japanese version so I can just import that version. God, I love region free!
@Ryan Brown1: Nope! You're not the only gay guy excited for this game; the next week can't pass fast enough for me!
@Barrit: I'm sure Atlus will fix the audio in the full release. They're fully aware of it, as there's a huge thread on their forums about it.
As for the shirt issue... it's simple: because it's cost-effective to only offer one size of shirt, they offered something that would fit everyone, even if it's big on some. I wear a size small to size medium in men's clothing, but I'm fine with the large. I can take it to a tailor or someone and get it altered if needs be.

So far in the world of Dragon's Crown, we've seen footage of the Elf, Sorceress, and the Warrior and Dwarf. Today, we're one step closer to seeing everyone in action, as the Wizard (who may or may not be related to Magus) ma...

We're all excited to play the newest main series entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series, but that day is still a few months away. For now, we'll have to deal with more info on Shin Megami Tensei IV, compliments of Atlus' Nico...
Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl is pretty fascinating in that Atlus is returning the series to its roots whilst taking it into a new direction entirely. A reimagining of the first Etrian Odyssey, released on Nintendo DS...
Atlus has revealed some figures in its earnings report, but it's in Japanese which is all bukkake to me. Luckily Andriasang has translated some key info. Catherine sold 260,000 units in Japan and 230,000 internationally, on X...more

The latest offering from Mega64 actually has one of the most straightforward set-ups. There are no props. No cameos. No other starring members except Rocco. It turns out that the subject matter of Catherine is weird enough on its own to produce an incredibly awkward series of encounters with Rocco playing a disturbingly forlorn nerd
