I played the demo and the story was decent and somewhat intersting but the puzzle/gameplay itself was horrendous. I couldn't sit though more of the game to find out what happens next and deleted the demo after beating it.
Make a movie of it and I'll watch it.
If Demon Souls had some chick in a nightie on the front cover it sould have sould a bajillion copies. You might lash back and say something like "Mix, that's preposterousas there is not that many PS3 systems" and I would retort "eveyone would buy like 8,053 copies each"
Math doesn't lie.
hopefully this will encourage them more to localize tons of japanese exclusive games as well as a new Shin Megami Tensei and Persona 5 :)
tigerblood? Lol
That makes sense and I WOULD buy this at a bargain price ($20 or so) as I like Atlus as well but this just wasn't what I expected.
Boobies make me smile though.
Anyway, I will predict the cell phone will make an appearance in Persona 5.
Also, fuck Persona. I played that, beat it, and only made me cry because Jet Set Radio deserves a sequel more than that.
Everyone jizzed their pants for this game, we shouldn't be surprised it sold well.
I played it. The music, characers, envrioment, and story had a JSR vibe to it. I like Persona, but I say fuck you at the same time because it's not JSR3.
It's like CoD.
Now I sound like a tool.
And for people who say this is a tech demo it really isn't. It's a full fledged game that's about 10-15 hours with like eight different endings. It's not a tech demo of any kind in my eye, the only way it can be described as a tech demo is the graphical style since this is Atlus's first HD game. Before anyone says it, Demon Souls does not count, they only published it, they developed Catherine of course.
Persona 5 is already coming anyways, it's been in development for quite awhile (positive I saw a story on it). Not really surprising since Catherine has been in the works since about 2008, shouldn't be too long before Persona 5 rears it's fabulous head.
the Puzzle sections are a lot more action oriented than I originally thought ESPECIALLY when there is a boss chasing you.
Anyone who thinks this game is just about "maturity and tits" is surely mistaken.
Anyway I love this game, payed $60 don't regret a thing, i'll probably get it on the xbox as well.
Also anyone judging the game based on the demo should rent it first...the demo doesn't do it all justice.
I can certainly understand wanting an HD SMT game more than this, but to call this a porn game is, well, to be wrong. This isn't just Atlus's most successful launch to date, it's also easily one of their best games to date.
I thought good gaming was just about dead.
Look, the demo really says it all. It gives you a taste of what's to come of every part of the game, and what you get from the game is pretty much ten hours of advancing story and increasing difficulty over the demo's material.
I was interested in Catherine before, but the demo is what prompted me to buy the Love is Over edition. It's a fantastic game well-worth the money, if you liked the puzzles.
