Desert Zombie: Last Stand is a third-person shooter powered by Epic's Unreal Development Kit. As you can tell from the footage above, it features lots of undead bastards and plenty of guns to kill them with. Looks like a laugh, provided they make the controls decent. The game's in it's alpha stage, and it looks pretty good so far. Knock it out at the right price, and I'm all about it.

I love House of the Dead: Overkill. One has to respect a really shameless bit of entertainment that doesn't care how trashy it is so long as people are having a laugh. Here's the Dead Island trailer in case you somehow missed the entire Internet talking about it yesterday. No actual gameplay, but it will send a goddamn chill down your spine. It's so beautifully put together and gives you a nice indication of what to expect come later this year. Dead Island will be out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC and you can read my thoughts about it in our preview.
