Max and Bill must kill the Moon-Princes

Man, Destiny. I seriously can't remember the last game that I felt so ambivalent about, but was so completely hooked on. Here's me and Bill dicking around on the Moon and discussing our general thoughts on the game, and killing the Moon-Princes with a big dumb sword. Is it a "Let's Play?" I don't know. But we're enjoying ourselves, and maybe you'll enjoy watching our enjoyment.

BioWare's multiplayer action-RPG Shadow Realms looks fast and fun

BioWare had my attention with those live-action teasers building up to Shadow Realms, but I've not kept up with the four-versus-one "modern" fantasy role-playing game since it was proper unveiled. If you're in a similar boat...

Metal Gear Solid V pre-TGS tease: Quiet jumps from a helicopter, goes invisible

...And that's it. Well, there are some angry raccoon eyes at the end, too.  Wait. Clearly the soldiers see the helicopter above them. And Quiet doesn't even turn invisible until she's mid-fall. Why even turn invisible a...

Videogames Are Stupid! Watch Dtoid's PAX panel right here

We decided for this year's PAX Prime panel, we would let our very own Max Scoville just do whatever dumb garbage he wanted to come up with. The result was: "Videogames Are Stupid: The Inherit Silliness of the Medium." Enjoy ...

Not-review: Brady Games Ultimate Street Fighter 4 Official Bible

Fighting games are about more than competition. At their best, they are about taking the most simple of design concepts (be better at hitting someone than they are at hitting you) and using game theory magic to somehow evoke ...

The best stuff on Destructoid this week [9/6]

What are you going to cook this weekend? I've been on point. Parmigiana di pollo, arroz y salsa verde para tacos, carne asada tacos, guacamole, pesto, roasted chicken and bell pepper, burgers. Going to do up some more fresh p...

Here's the entire Bayonetta 2 Nintendo Direct, check out the Star Fox costume

I'm still surprised that Nintendo is pushing Bayonetta 2 as hard as it is when Wonderful 101 matched their brand effortlessly, and they barely promoted it. As I've said in the past, every time I've seen this game d...

Of course we checked out Far Cry 4's elephant booty physics at PAX

Prior to this video being shot, Max may have taken a double dose of the assorted pills that truckers use to drive 36 consecutive hours. I can't be sure. It wasn't my day to keep track of him. But, the point you should take away from this is how realistic that elephant's ass (probably) looks. With booty physics like that, it's no wonder Far Cry 4 ended up as one of our top games of PAX Prime.

Dead Island 2 PAX impressions

Having only seen Dead Island 2 and not played it yet, I'm in agreement with Max here. It does look like a decent-enough zombie game, and a much better take on the property than Riptide .. but it's still Dead Island. There comes a point at which you've simply had enough. The southern California setting and warm tones are lovely, though. Big fan of those.

Assassin's Creed Unity and Rogue PAX impressions

I'm not sure how Max had this much energy in the middle of PAX Prime to speak in front of a camera about Assassin's Creed -- for over eight minutes, no less -- but he did. What a champ. Conceptually, I like the sound of chas...

Persona 5 is coming to PS4, gets first trailer

Atlus' YouTube has our first look at Persona 5, which appears to have a ruffled brown haired boy protagonist and subways. Not a lot to get excited about aside from the fact that Persona 5 is exciting inherently. Though there was an announcement of a PS4 version of the previously PS3-restricted title. Makes sense.

Fire watch with me: Firewatch gets first, mysterious trailer

I am into this. It's a bit inscrutable, sure, but a mystery game needs to be mysterious. I was into Firewatch as soon as I heard of the talent involved. Artist Olly Moss, whose work we enjoy regularly, along with Mark o...

Shovel Knight looks great in 16-bit, Aegis Defenders just looks great

Oh my goooddd. How did I miss this until now? It's like a Nausicaa game. Thank you sir Shovel Knight for making a cross over appearance (above) in Aegis Defenders, which is how it came to my attention.  The Kickstarter already passed its initial funding goal and its PS4 stretch goal. Local co-op and a Wii U version are up next. Here's hoping. This looks amazing.

Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles officially unveiled for Smash Bros.

This morning's Japanese Nintendo Direct kicked off with a bang, officially unveiling Shulk in Super Smash Bros, set to hit the 3DS and Wii U later this year. Following a leak that included the Xeno star, it looks like the other characters are going to follow at some point! Watch the video above for some footage -- he looks fun to play.

I enjoyed Dragon Age: Inquisition's multiplayer more than I thought

There have been rumors of a multiplayer component in Dragon Age: Inquisition for quite a while. BioWare has been keeping things under wraps for months after a small hint of its inclusion, and speculation was rampan...
