Castle Crasher Necromancer DLC now out photo

The Necromantic DLC pack for Castle Crashers is now out! It’s going for 160 MS Points and contains some pretty awesome new content. The pack contains two new playable characters (The Necromancer and Cult Minion), two new weapons (the chainsaw and NG Skull Mace) and also comes with a new animal orb by the name of Dragonhead.

The DLC comes just before Castle Crasher’s first birthday this Thursday. Kelly over on The Behemoth teases people about presents and that you all should check out The Behemoth blog on the 27th. When The Behemoth came out with the King DLC pack, they gave away a ton of codes on their Forums. Science leads me to believe that they might be doing another giveaway for the new DLC.

That, or Dan Paladin is going to hijack the devblog and post a ton of Clown Princess porno.

Pretty seriously considering picking this up.

Also... second birthday? It came out only a year ago...

I need this so bad it hurts when I squee. Where is it exactly? Does is there a time for DLC to come out, like noon eastern on the Wii?

Hopefully they'll be giving some of these away again.

I hope that when Castle Crashers makes its way over to PSN, it'll include the DLC free or discounted. But I might try to coax my room mate into picking up this DLC for his 360 cause the Necromancer is who I always wanted to play as.

Even if it was free I would not download it. I got the last DLC for free thanks to the forums, and I played Castle Crashers for three seconds before deciding I should do something else. One thing is when the game is new, but when you've played it several times already, a couple of new characters and weapons is not enough for another time through.

@Bennyishere

I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I tend to disagree. I played through it about 5 times when it was brand new and then I've recently had a hankering for it so I played through another 3 or so times. I'll probably play many more times in the future.

I wish it didn't take so long to level up characters. The catfish glitch no longer works, so I'm SOL there...

Casket - Just clear your xbox cache and don't update. I use the bat level glitch all the time to boost my characters.
The necromancer looks exciting. Considering this is the price of one Rock Band song, not a bad deal.

Cheap and with a sweet character. Cool beans.

Just when I put this down finally after playing on and off for the past year. Dammit Behemoth! You got my two bucks easy.

Just when I get an E74, they drop what I was waiting patiently for.

This fucking sucks.

I dig it. I like new characters. Gives me a good reason to play through again with someone who hasn't played it yet.

This is what DLC SHOULD BE.

Characters/packs that come out MONTHS after the fact, not planned before the game fucking comes out, and CHEAP.

Gonna say, Necromancer is my new favorite character. He just looks so badass. Also, I think he has the very best magic IN THE ENTIRE GAME (next to maybe King heal).
I think he'll be my first character I'll max out my stats on. :)

Magnalon, I don't know, man. This seems to be coming out a little too long after release. I'm aware of the constraints on the small team at The Behemoth, but I would have been far more excited for this DLC half a year ago.

I think Jadenguy was asking if Xbox Live put up new content at a certain time every week, like the Wii's store apparently does at noon eastern. That's how I read it anyway.

Does anyone know if the new characters' magic changes the gameplay at all, like the King's healing?

I'm pretty stoked about this... for some reason I just love Castle Crashers that much.

Too little, too late. I love this game, but the DLC sucked in many ways. Too expensive, poorly timed, not ebough content.

I'm excited for the new DLC...my daughter and I place this game all of the time...but I have always hoped that they would add in some new levels and bosses with DLC. Oh well.
