The Necromantic DLC pack for Castle Crashers is now out! It’s going for 160 MS Points and contains some pretty awesome new content. The pack contains two new playable characters (The Necromancer and Cult Minion), two new weapons (the chainsaw and NG Skull Mace) and also comes with a new animal orb by the name of Dragonhead.
The DLC comes just before Castle Crasher’s first birthday this Thursday. Kelly over on The Behemoth teases people about presents and that you all should check out The Behemoth blog on the 27th. When The Behemoth came out with the King DLC pack, they gave away a ton of codes on their Forums. Science leads me to believe that they might be doing another giveaway for the new DLC.
That, or Dan Paladin is going to hijack the devblog and post a ton of Clown Princess porno.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Also... second birthday? It came out only a year ago...
jadenguy: ... The Wii?
Anyway, looks awesome. I might have to pick this up.
@jadenguy
lulz
I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I tend to disagree. I played through it about 5 times when it was brand new and then I've recently had a hankering for it so I played through another 3 or so times. I'll probably play many more times in the future.
The necromancer looks exciting. Considering this is the price of one Rock Band song, not a bad deal.
This fucking sucks.
Characters/packs that come out MONTHS after the fact, not planned before the game fucking comes out, and CHEAP.
I think he'll be my first character I'll max out my stats on. :)
I think Jadenguy was asking if Xbox Live put up new content at a certain time every week, like the Wii's store apparently does at noon eastern. That's how I read it anyway.
Does anyone know if the new characters' magic changes the gameplay at all, like the King's healing?
