Never heard of the 2006 Mod of the Year Awards? Well, now is your chance to become a part of them. So far, gamers have nominated 4,000 mods which were just recently narrowed down to the top 100.
You have until January 1st to vote for your 3 favorite mods. Then, player's choice winners will be announced on the 20th, and editors choice & genre winners will be announced on the 25th. The prizes? Kick ass gaming rigs and sweet, sweet cash of course!
For those of you out there that aren't playing with your next-gen console of choice, this is the perfect opportunity to find awesome mods and burn some time. I highly suggest everyone takes a look at the Doom 3 mod, Recall to Hell, which is pictured above.
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

So far Drawn to Be Alive from the UT2004 setup looks to be one of the most original...granted I haven't seen them all yet.
