As if you needed any proof, we have numbers confirming that the PS3 version of Resident Evil 5 has outsold the Xbox 360 version in Japan, where the lure of Achievements hold no sway over the minds of mortal men. Of course, since the 360 version doesn't come packed with Cliché RPG VIII, it didn't stand a chance.
The PlayStation 3 version has thus far sold 222,000 copies in comparison to the 360's mere 56,000. In slightly more interesting news, Resident Evil 5 has beaten out Resident Evil 4's initial sales of 117,000 GameCube copies and 145,000 PS2 copies. Well, I said it was only slightly more interesting, didn't I?
Meanwhile, Jumping Around Like An Imbecile on the Wii outsold all copies of Resident Evil 5 by ten million to one.

Obshaky, dude get over yourself. Still moaning about control issues, even when you might not even be buying the game. Want same ass contorls for most games, there are plenty of PC based shooters out there.
RE is a console game, primarily. Yes it has changed and is more action based, and from a foreign perspective. But if you don't like it, don't buy and shut your cakehole about it.
And Yakuza 3 sold more than both of them together last week.
On other news: Who cares but the fanboys?
...and it is for this same reason that you're likely to see it the other way around in the states.
More 360's mean multi-plats statistically will sell more units on Microsoft's console, and vice versa.
