LOL @ all you guys making fun of the name. It's named after the awesome pirate book, Captain Blood, by Rafael Sabatini, published in 1922. If you like Treasure Island, you will like this (book at least). The game looks OK, but I want more adventure rather than button-mashing. Sadly I don't think I will get it here.

Looks pretty good. Definitely looks like it will have more variety than the GOW games especially the combat.
The chosen still for the video just screams God of War (intentional?). He's got a white shirt, red sash, and then there's that blade..

I too remember the old Space Trading game by the name of Captain Blood. I think Jean Michelle Jarre did the music for it.
@ChaosTeaCup It wasn't a trading game, it was a travel-across-space-blowing-up-planets-and-talk-to-aliens-using-weird-symbols game. JMJ did the music but the game was fairly tedious, it was very easy to get stuck on a puzzle and have no way to progress, or to write down the wrong coordinates and end up at the wrong planet with no way to work out where you were supposed to be.
I love GOW and I really like the Fable-ish characters and set pieces (OMG it has colors!), and the pirate theme is a plus... as long as it isn't fundamentally broken as a game, it's worth a try for me.
