Capcom teaser reveals Sengoku Basara 3 photo
  share: Twitter Facebook Reddit Digg
filed under: #Teaser

I won't lie -- when I first saw Capcom's teaser site for this game, there was a part of me that was hopeful for a new Onimusha game (even though I didn't like the last one at all). Turns out it has nothing to do with Onimusha -- rather, the game is Sengoku Basara 3, or Devil Kings as we know it here in the states.

Two mysterious silhouettes were also revealed, which you can see in the gallery and pontificate over. Other than that, the only info we have is that the game will take place in the year 1600, which is when the Battle of Sekigahara took place, and that it will be released in 2010 for an unannounced console.

Excited, or feeling let down because you wanted to slap on the Oni Gauntlet once more?

Funny...I started playing Sengoku Basara 2 heroes last week. Granted I figured Devil Kings was a poor mans Samurai Warriors (which it is...still needs toning.) SB2:H isn't all THAT bad. Plus Oichi's ending theme is awesome.

here's hoping SB3 well actually fix some problems and actually be worth looking at. (I doubt it.) Least the Anime is good lol.

Hmmm I never heard of this series before but the image on the header looks arcade-tastic

A sequel is great regardless, unless it arrives on my unimportfriendly Wii. Mostly due to the fact that I don't own one.

However, if this is a PS3 sequel, I will actually XXXX myself.

There's a 3? I never even knew there was a 2. I need to catch up on this, even though the games aren't that good, but still manage to be a little fun.

You better bring this to the west, Capcom! Stop disappointing your loyal fans so much.

I really enjoyed Devil Kings when it came out. It was a neat alternative to Dynasty/Samurai Warriors at the time, and I was sad that the sequel never made it stateside.

I kind of wanted Sengoku Basara X to make it's way here as well, but I doubt that'll happen now unless we get it via XBLA or PSN.

Here's to hoping this one makes it over here, what with console specs being relatively the same and more games from Japan crossing the ocean these days.

Sengoku Basara X is horrible. I see why it never made it to the states and why it bombed so bad in Japan.

Game takes forever to finish even a round. The game does shit for damage (including supers.) The backup idea was pretty cool but again, dealing damage in this game was horrible.
