Capcom's countdown timer secret revealed? Street Fighter 4, Lost Planet PS3 photo

We've all been watching Capcom's silly teasing timer that has been running on the front of the Capcom Unity page, impatiently waiting to see what could be in store for us. The problem is that Capcom's page seems to have blown up, and we can't see anything!

We're going to go out on an hunch here and guess that the announcement had something to do with Street Fighter 4, Lost Planet PS3, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD (XBL), Dark Void, Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice and more just announced at Capcom's Gamer Day in London.

Here's some of the details on the new titles:

Street Fighter 4 is confirmed, but still about a year away. No console announcements yet, but you can bet we'll see it on just about everything.

Lost Planet PS3 uses the power of Blu-ray to fit in all of the bonus characters of the PC version and all the downloadable content from the 360 version. Look for 16-person multiplayer action early next year.

Dark Void is a new property that we just recently heard rumors about. It's a sci-fi action title.

Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice is a new series with a new rookie lawyer. Of course, this is a DS title.

We'll have more news as it comes down the line, and expect a trailer some time this morning.

How very unspectacular. Street Fighter 4 will feature superb new character designs and beautiful animation, but it's still Street Fighter, not a bad thing, but nothing amazing.

Although, having bitched about sequels, an updated 2D version of Strider would be good.

The Dark Void game... know what won me over about it? Steampunk Jet Pack.

F*ck yes.

But.. I must agree with king3vbo.

Marvel VS Capcom 3 > SF4 .. but we all know that the legal crap involved in making that happen will squash that thought for many years...

Sorry.

I heart the series so much.

And where the fuck is my Dead Rising 2?

SFIV better be in 2D. Also, I can't get that excited about Lost Planet PS3 when it's just a port with the bonus content from the 360 version. Also, we all knew about Apollo Justice. Still, just an announcement of SFIV would be considered earth-shattering.

Woo at SF4 and Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice though, meh at Lost Planet.

Street Fighter 4 could be excellent, but for me it is "2D or Bust."

We don't need another Street Fighter EX, that's for sure.

I don't get the point of the Lost Planet announcement. It is coming to PS3, great, but what about a sequel?

@tehArtist: new IP called Dark Void. Right there.

Speaking of Dark Void, the title remind me a lot of EA's new IP, Dead Space. Apparently, sci-fi survival horror titles are the new thing (assuming that's what Dark Void is).

Man, I love me some Street Fighter, but they're going to really have to bring it this time to compete in the mainstream market full of DOA's and Virtua Fighter.

Customization, perhaps?

There is no place for next-gen boob physics in a 2D game. Which it better be. Or I'll be busy feeding babies to hungry mutated puppies.

What a lame ass announcement. Did that seriously necessitate a countdown? If it were MVC3 then I would be excited because that series was presumed dead but SF4 is so not surprising.

Countdowns are the new "viral marketing." Eventually only crappy companies will use it, and only for announcements nobody will give a flying fuck about.

What's wrong with a 3D Street Fighter? If it's done well, it'll be fine. Geez, you people get whiny. There's no way in hell it'll be 2D, if it's a proper console release.
