Capcom releases demo for Devil May Cry 4 PC photo

For those of you who missed Devil May Cry 4 when it hit consoles back in February, here's your chance to check out the feature-superior PC version of the game.

The demo itself features the same content as the one that's available on both the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live right now (a boss battle and 10 minutes worth of gameplay), but there's also a benchmark test thrown in for good measure.

Exclusive to the PC version of DMC 4 are Turbo Mode (turns up the speed) and Dark Knight Mode (even more enemies on-screen), in addition to support for up to 120 frames per second and DX10.

If my aging rig was able to run the game on high settings with a decent frame rate, then most of you shouldn't have any problems playing the game either. Head on over to your download Web site of choice, or here, if you want to be surprised.

is 120 frames per second really necessary?, we can only see 30 with our eyes (I think, I could be wrong)

Surprisingly well optimized! It ran flawlessly with everything
on super high (?) on my mid-range PC.
You need a pad though, as the keyboard controls were horrible.

I'll see if my hunk of junk rig can run it when I get home.

Well i'll see if my PC can handle it. I've been waiting on an excuse to get a new graphics card, mirrors edge was going to be it but this may force my hand.

It was a good rental on PS3, but I don't think I need another run through.

My shame in owning a 6800 GT will probably be more than evident when the game laughs at me for attempting to run and play it, like Age of Conan does.

Might "get" it once I free up some harddrive space.

I hope it's better than all the other Capcom PC ports. Resident Evil 4 and Devil May Cry 3 were flat out terrible.

Saying mid-range PC doens't mean anything really. Be more specific.

@Eschatos: unless you have a gamepad. Capcom doesn't bother with porting it to have respeckable Mouse+keyboard controls. RE4, DMC3 and Lost Planet were the three most glaring annoyances, definitely.

@nmezib:
RE4 was unplayable even with a gamepad. They transferred the controls to digital button presses rather than actually support analog stick movement, so using a gamepad to move and aim was no more accurate than the fucking arrow keys. It was awful.

This demo sounds promising, I'll download it in a bit.

At least the specs aren't as bas as Assassins Creed was. What a clusterfuck that was....

The RE4/DMC3 were shitty Ubisoft ports. I want to at least try this out, to see how Capcom's touted crossplatform engine runs on this thing...

Yup, this doesn't have support for anything other than a gamepad. Do not want.

It sucks that Capcom wouldn't even try to implement keyboard and mouse controls, but I wasn't going to use them anyway.

I have a 360 pad (I don't have a 360) for playing 3D games on the PC, so having to use a controller is no skin off my nuts.

I wish I had your proc., but I did the performance test and it only had trouble producing 60 frames in the second scene. Everything was maxed out and on the DX10 version.
