They'd have to expand the world, add new things to kill, and work on the story telling aspects a bit, but aside from that, yeah, I'd welcome a series. It was a good game.

They make games that generaly arent to my taste but its nice that they are doing well.

The fact that it's a good game is an anomaly. Capcom will surely ruin the sequel with their shitty business practices and lock a bunch of stuff that was obtainable in the original game behind DLC.

Dragon's Dogma is fantastic, and it's not too late to go buy it. It's really worth your time, your money, and your support.

I thought the game was kind of mediocre, although surprisingly a lot of people seem to like it so good for capcom!They finally have another game series they can run into the ground.

Maybe they had a particularly awful Q1 2011? I want to look up some numbers just to give this news some kind of frame of reference, but I have to go rent a car in like half an hour.
With net sales so much higher in Q1 2012, it makes me think that what Q1 2011 would look like compared to the previous 5 or 6 years.

Really enjoyed Dragon's Dogma and could see them taking the very solid foundation of the first game and fine tuning it to give us something even better.
450k sales for Raccoon City? It was previously reported it had sold over 2 million. Are those Japan-only numbers?
I've heard it's good but I can't get myself to play it. I'm just tired of medieval fantasy RPGs no matter how amazing they may be. Had to force myself to just go and beat Skyrim because I could feel my enjoyment rapidly falling every time I booted it up.
Here's hoping they focus on what made it good and take their time coming out with a worthy successor instead of just pumping out a sequel as fast as they can. Nobody needs another Dragon Age II situation.

but i WILL NOT buy a sequel unless it has real online co-op play.

I thought Dragon's Dogma was pretty shit tbh but if it keeps Capcom in the black then you've gotta be happy for 'em.

So sales were up only 56% but profits managed to be up 290%? Good to see a publisher who truly knows how to screw gamers show such success.
Dragon's Dogma was a fun slog between games, but it was most certainly not in the same league as something like Demon's Souls or Skyrim, and the DLC was fucking shitty. I will definitely pick up a Dragon's Dogma 2.
Too many little things that annoyed the shit out of me while I watched my buddy play it, but if theres ever a PC version where we can mod stuff out like pawn dialog then Im all over it.
Dragon's Dogma is GotY for me so far, even with all it's flaws. I'm positive that a sequel that fixes some of it's bumps and cracks has potential to be one of the greatest games of our time.
I still think this games stinks. Too difficult, tedious, cumbersome. At leas the demo mad me think that.

Co-op is a must. This game would be great with co-op. It's obviously not really a persistent world like Elder Scrolls, so I don't see why it wouldn't work with a mechanism like RDR's co-op. Maybe even with horses or some creature to ride?
I wouldn't mind a change of setting too. Tundra or desert (jungle and forest would be too much of a strain on graphics, I'd guess).

Dragons dogma definately had problems, but too difficult wasnt one of them. Anyone saying it was too difficult never got past lvl 10 becasue as soon as you get out of starter gear and weps nothing in that game is hard. That being said the story could use some work. First timr through i didnt know that if you go back to the first town after the hydra you get to meet the elysian. Pretty important character and the real intro is completely and easily skippable... Also alot of ppl made really aweful pawns... Just so bad.
