And so are we! Okamiden producer Motohide Eshiro says Capcom listens to fan demand, and if enough demand is there, Okami and God Hand could get sequels.
Eshiro told Gamesradar: "We’re certainly willing to explore the option of another Okami game if the market is there for it. If people want it, we’ll be pleased to deliver it. As for what hardware, it will depend entirely on what ideas we have and what the demands of the market are. We will pick the appropriate platform from there."
I'm a huge fan of the crazy PS2 brawler God Hand, and would love an HD sequel on the PS3. Eshiro is also a fan, and he said that he'd like the game to live on as a series.
"I personally am quite the fan of God Hand," he said. "I thought it had really dynamic gameplay of focusing not on blocking but on constantly dodging and moving. It was really fun and refreshing, and it would be great to see that turned into a series."
If you're game for either one of these game sequels, listen to Eshiro's instructions: "Look up Capcom’s address online right now and send us some letters and see what happens. It gets a lot easier to push an idea through management if it looks like we have a lot of support for it!"

I would definitely check out a sequel though, since I'm sure they would improve on it.
A God Hand sequel would be nice as well, but on DS/3DS because of how well the original God Hand did (i.e: not very).
All in all, I think both of these titles will thrive better on handhelds than consoles because of their niche success, just like Mega Man Legends 3.
But hey, if they took the effort to do it right, I'd be down for a God Hand 2. It'll never happen, though.
"I spoil Everything: The Movie Starring You"
only make God Hand 2 if Shinji Mikami, Hideki Kamiya, Masafumi Takada are on board on this :P
capcom should stop outsourcing their IP and start making them on their own.
Okami and God Hand are awesome games don't get me wrong.
BUT DINO CRISIS
still needs a sequel, I mean shit the series (excluding 3 that doesn't exist)
I believe has sold more total than God Hand and Okami.
This gen needs a good dinosaur and it's not like Capcom would have any competition in the matter.
However let me state I still want God Hand and Okami sequels, but it infuriates me how capcom just shoves Dino Crisis to the side whenever sequel talks come up.
Also, I think if Capcom makes this happen, then they should reunite with the former Clover team at Platinum. I personally think Platinum's games when they were Clover are better than their games as Platinum.
Another idea would be to get either WayForward or Griptonite to do a 2D God Hand game for DS/3DS. I'd buy 50 copies.
God Hand was so fun because it was made by a group of people who did not even give the slightest of damns about if it made sense or hit a mainstream audience, they just wanted to make a crazy-ass game about punching people. Are there even people at current Capcom with the mentality of "Well this will probably bomb, but let's release it anyway because WE think it's fun"?
Sorry.
God, I need that game. I'm still hunting down a not-sucky copy of the first game for PSone on eBay, and will never stop until I get one.
Hell, God Hand was fun, but a lot of the charm and uniqueness of the game is tied directly to the bastardized RE4 engine it runs on. If I wanted a sequel to God Hand (like with Okami, I don't really feel it needs one), it'd need to be handled far more carefully than Capcom would handle it.
If Capcom needs to outsource "true" sequels to these they should be talking to Platinum Games. Put bluntly, if they announced Okami 2 or God Hand 2 tomorrow and said they were developing it in-house or outsourcing to anybody but Platinum Games, my interest just wouldn't be there like it would if Platinum was working on it.
Devil May Cry 4 was alright, but Bayonetta showed us what a next-gen Devil May Cry game SHOULD have been.
Platinum came from the ashes of Clover. Okami was developed when the team were known as Clover.
OK.
Okamiden is a worthy successor. It was handled extremely well.
@Timothy Kelly
Okamiden is a proper sequel - it actually uses the brush mechanic perfectly and is direct sequel.
If they want to do another Okami game on consoles, dunno how I feel about that, Celestial Brush was awful on PS2 and the Wii. Analog was really dodgy for that and motion controls far too sensitive. Touch controls were spot-on.
Love all those games.
Hell it's not even a "game maybe in the works" like these other two, it's already OUT. Get on with it, Capcom =_=x
As for God Hand and Okami... DO IT.
