If you know anything at all about Monster Hunter, you know it's extremely popular in Japan (in Asia in general, for that matter). If you own a copy of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite and live in the London area, you may want to know there is a cool new event for Monster Hunter fans launching soon that you may not want to miss out on.
The Gathering Hall (located at 121 Charing Cross Road) will open on July 3rd to the public, inviting anyone with a copy of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite to attend. Capcom Europe will offer incentives such as free quest downloads that you can't get anywhere else. I also hear the game's developers may be present at one time or another at the gathering hall, which means you could drown them in your questions about the next games in the series.
There's no word on how long the hall will be there, so if you want to check it out don't waste time -- hoof it over there while you still can!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Perhaps these kind of meet ups are a positive step for handheld gaming. I'd like to see more of this, since no one really sells this part of gaming.
Good one, Capcom.
I for one, CANNOT wait!
I'm a LONG way from London, but I'd be there for sure if I was closer. I'd be realy interested to see how many people turn up, because Monster Hunter seems really under-rated over here.
I've been using the AdHoc party app from the Japanese psn to fix the problem of no-one to play with, it really is brilliant! I'm confused as to why they don't drop an English version for us? But once you know which buttons to press you're sorted.
Would be amazing if the UK were like Japan where there's always someone on a train, or at a cafe playing though.
