Already knee-deep in Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network title develpment, Capcom VP Christian Svensson is hinting that that he "fully expects" Capcom to publish WiiWare games in the West. "WiiWare has some interesting challenges in terms of interface," he tells Gamasutra. "I wouldn't say challenges: both challenges and benefits. The controls are different and frankly we'd like to make good use of the Wii Remote. We have a couple of concepts internally that I think would be perfect for Wii, as well as other platforms." He also candidly speaks with Gamasutra about the potential for the company to acquire a Western developer saying that they wouldn't "acquire anyone that [they] haven't done a game with," adding that "chemistry is so critical." Start placing yours bets now -- rumors have suggested a Dead Rising sequel is in the hands of a Western developer, and the critically acclaimed Irvine, California-based Ready at Dawn's port of Okami ships this week. You can read the full interview with Svensson at Gamasutra.

First?
Zack and Wiki sequel plz
Woooooo!
Now for something relevant to the topic:
I think that if they put the same amount of quality that Zak and Wiki had, I'm completely on board with what they hypothetically offer. Capcom is one of my favorite companies.
Yes! Moar Capcom! :OD
Less chance of sucking. :O)
PERFECT PLACE FOR A NEW OLD-SCHOOL MEGA MAN, CAPCOM!
Inafune always talks about money being a limitation. Cutting all that distribution cost (save for licensing, pff) has got to make going back to that well, in a proper manner, much more appealing.
Same to you, Konami.
@ XerxesTWD
Stop it.
Capcom trying to make a comback in not sucking more than good? I accept.
and a Dead rising Sequal? please? pretty please?
Maybe it is time for a Snes level graphic return of Shante
conan-san wins
@tubatic
You read my mind. Perfect place for mega man
I think it would be more beneficial for Capcom to release new IPs for WiiWare instead of spearheading the effort with reliable franchises.
That said, Phoenix Wright-related stuff please.
oh really? That's hilarious, I asked the guys who are developing the new 1942 game when I was at Capcom's Digital Day, and they told me that Capcom was still looking at Wiiware, and that downloads for that console isn't for them.
Well, I guess somebody changed their mind.
Megaman Powered Up 2.
For the love of God, MEGAMAN POWERED UP 2.
Dead Rising sequel, focus on that Capcom
Can you say Phoenix Wright Wiiware?
Objwiiction!
Heh.
Why Dead Rising in the hands of an American developer? I liked the team that did the first one.
