Capcom cuts prices on iPhone games this weekend photo

Following their discounted game bundles on PSN, Capcom has announced that they'll be giving some of their iPhone games the same treatment by offering up three titles at lowered prices through the weekend.

From now until Monday, you can grab Mega Man II at $2.99 (40% off),  Resident Evil 4 at $2.99 (60% off), and KENKEN for only 99 cents, which is 80% off its standard price.

Sounds good to me, but I don't have an iPhone. Anyone out there tried one of these? I'm interested to know how something like Mega Man II holds up with touch screen controls. At any rate, if you do have an iPhone or iPod Touch, now would be a good time to snatch up some games on the cheap, which is always nice. You can check them out now on the App Store.

Mega Man II is nearly unplayable on the iPhone.

Aww. :(

Not that I hadn't already assumed such, but it still sucks.

The patch fixed a lot.. but it is still nearly unplayable. I managed to beat it on Easy, but only after a lot of frustration.

I really want Resi 4. Because no matter how terrible the controls or graphics are, the Merchant is back.

And that alone makes it better than 5z

The Mega Man II app demo single-handedly convinced me that jailbreaking my ipod touch to put emulators on it would be a complete waste of time.

emulation wise they hold up a lot better than the app store ones. not that i'm promoting piracy by saying this. but from experience, emulation will be updated for a forseeable time unlike an app...

Doesn't really look fun to play with a touch screen...

Mega Man II is wretched on the iPhone/touch. Don't even bother downloading the demo.

If you're at all interested in Sudoku or similar puzzles, KenKen is a must-buy. It's fantastic, and a steal at $1.

Buy Drop7 instead. It pains me to say that Megaman II on Iphone is failsauce.

I played the Mega Man II demo on my friend's iPhone the other day. Stick with the NES controller/Wiimote. Seriously.

Man, they should pay you to play Megaman 2. Jankiest port since Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis.
