Yes, Capcom has officially announced that the Resident Evil 5 demo will be coming to the PlayStation 3 on February 2. The demo will feature two levels, Shanty Town and Assembly place, and will support single-player, online co-op, and split-screen co-op. It will be available on the PlayStation Network for the sweet price of "free."
As previously revealed, Xbox 360 owners will be getting it first ... well, if you're an Xbox LIVE Gold account holder, that is. The Microsoft flavor will be available on January 26.
Resident Evil 5 hits retail on March 13, and yeah, it looks like you're going to need a calendar to keep track of all of these dates.

I remember you speaking on this in an article before but I can't remember what the final verdict was. Is the Split-screen aspect issue fixed?
You sure it was the controller? The demo felt awkward, but I thought it was because the game was a copy/paste of RE4 with no improvements.
Also, yes, the 360 controller stroke me as a bit awkward. I'm getting it for PS3 anyways.

This is the same demo that hit Japanese consoles, so it'll be the same issue as the one I mentioned in my whiny split-screen article. I'm pretty sure the final build will be this way, too.
I was prety pissed that all the 360 ppl got to play this while I sat in the dark, waiting, crying.
