Th fact that spectator mode (at least currently) is just for this ultimate edition irks me. The extra characters and levels are nice but $40? I don't think I want to spend that since I already own the game. I'll probably get it for $20 down the road when I feel like it but right now, eh, I just feel like I'm being milked a bit and not in that good prom after party kinda way.
Good thing I waited. It paid off tenfold for SF4 ala SSF4AE...

Wow, I really feel for the people who purchased Capcom's fighters brand new. I haven't because I don't have a stick, have friends that live near, or any skill at playing... but I've always wanted them.
Will this also include the DLC characters? That'd be another slap in the face to patrons, but it would make people like me more likely to bite.

Considering I shook my finger in disapproval of Valve when L4D2 was released less than a year after L4D1... I have to do the same to Capcom for the sake of consistency.

I paid 60 dollars 4 months ago to get this game. Now I find out that a version with 12 more characters (all exclusive to the new version) and more is going to come out LATER THIS SAME YEAR for 40 dollars. At least SSFIV was over a year later.
I mean, there is just no respect at all for people who bought this game less than half a year ago (or more recently, as I'm sure many have). I knew I should've waited. Luckily, I got the game from Kmart with like a 25 dollar gift certificate, so I sort of paid closer to 45 than 60. Still, I'm fuming over this.

I can't group myself in with the negativity in the above comments, this is great news to me. I held off on buying it since I had a giant backlog anyway and I was aware that another edition would come out down the line.
Now, for 20 bucks less, I get more characters and levels, which is perfect! I may even wait til the holidays to pick it up, in which case I have a chance of acquiring it for even cheaper! Thanks Capcom!

God, I'm pissed. I was actually excited about this because I basically assumed it would be DLC. Instead, we get a 6 month-later cash grab and a bucketload of urine splashed on the faces of Capcom's biggest fans.
Jesus, Capcom has always been my stalwart Japanese developer. As Squeenix collapsed and Sega drowned in its own garbage, I at least always had Capcom. But now.... Mega Man is essentially a dead franchise. Two MvC cash-grabs in half a year. SSFIV AE with 1 additional character and 3 costumes (essentially). Dead Rising cash grab with a costume swap for the main character.
Fuck Capcom. Fuck em hard.
