Why yes, there is such a thing as the Canadian Video Game Awards! The 3rd annual edition of the awards show will take place in Vancouver on April 21st, and coincides with Fan Expo Vancouver (limited seating available to Fan Expo pass holders). A number of finalists have recently been picked from the larger list of nominees.

The main competition seems to be between Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine, and Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP. The public can vote on their Game of the Year, effectively forcing you to choose between Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Sword and Sworcery EP (unless you think FIFA 12, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, or Fight Night Champion deserves the award). Deus Ex: HR has been criminally neglected in many awards ceremonies to date, so I think they deserve a nod on their home turf this time around.

Check out the full list of finalists below, or on this page where you can also vote for your Canadian GOTY on the left-hand side of the screen.
