Call of Duty: World at War DLC on the horizon, more details coming in 2009 photo

Is it too early to be talking about downloadable content for Call of Duty: World at War? Perhaps, but Daniel Suarez, the executive producer for the game, has dropped a few hints about what's in store for us anyway.

Speaking with MTV Multiplayer, Suarez divulged that Treyarch is aiming for "two, maybe three [DLC] packs" and how the content is "not going to be what we’ve done traditionally."

The full DLC announcements will be made early on next year, so for the time being, there's not much to go on besides wishful thinking and the knowledge that it's coming ... eventually.

What kind of content would you guys want to see hit World at War? Crazy stuff along the lines of Nazi zombies or something a bit more orthodox?

How about they fix the damn "under map" glitches before thinking about DLC?

@gr8wang: Agreed, how the hell can you put out DLC when you need fixes for your bugs/glitches? Definitely a no buy.

So the INFERIOR CoD is going to get supported by Treyarch and the SUPERIOR Infinity Ward version was abandoned within 2 or 3 months of its release.

The irony is delicious.

Suarez divulged that Treyarch is aiming for "two, maybe three [DLC] packs....AS LONG AS WE CAN COMPLETE THEM MANY MONTHS PRIOR TO THE RELEASE OF COD6, OTHERWISE WE WILL JUST CONVERT THEM THE BASIS FOR THE NEXT SEQUEL'S MP MAPS. THIS IS BECAUSE ALL ACTIVISION STUDIOS MUST PROSTRATE THEMSELVES BEFORE THE GREAT MARKETING DEPARTMENT"
Between CoD4's lack of any significant DLC map support, Bungie's (at the least half completed) mythic maps being held hostage by MSFT to spur sales of the $80 copy of halo wars, and no orange box maps/functionality patch I feel like I'm being screwed like a sports game fan.
Almost makes me want to buy a gaming PC for mod support.

dreaming of:new guns
wishing for: new zombie maps
hoping for: smaller maps (or at least maps that aren't so open)
expecting: moar of the same maps, more glitches, and maybe a perk or two. Also tons of picture+themes, and probably some new fangled avatar wear.
