Take my advice, and just get the free version. Monthly DLC is the only advantage, and the maps could be bad. If they released updated versions of MW and MW2 maps, I'll buy ELITE. Other than that, the free version is great! I love tweeking my classes while I'm "working" and the IMPROVE section of ELITE is really helpful! A+!
This is an okay service and all, but in no way is it almost worth the same amount of cash as the game itself.
Those who wanted to buy elite would have gotten the hardened version of MW3. Buying the game than spending an extra $10 to get Elite separately is an idiotic decision.

You do realize how ridiculously hard it was to get a Hardened Edition of MW3 was right? The Walmart that I went to sold out in 5 mins of being open. It's not always a viable option.

Anyone checked out battlelog yet? I was so disappoint with the stat tracking until I went to battlelog and hooked that up. Way cool! If anyone is on there add quantumriian I play on ps3

I was able to purchase a 4000 Moonmonie$ points card for $30 when I bought my copy of MW3 from Kmart. Oh yeah, and I got the game for $25 off retail, as well. Guess I'm an idiot.

I tried that route as well and couldn't find a copy within a 50 mile radius. The Hardened Edition was NOT as readily available as you'd like to believe.

i just find it funneh. i work at a store that asks for a lot of reseves (can u guess?) and everyone always says no but then the shit releases, everyone wants it, and theres not enough to go around

Meh, never bought ever bought a map pack DLC, and probably never will. However, with 90% of the MW3 maps looking VERY similar, I might be forced to now... I miss the variety of MW2 (cityscapes, deserts, snowy regions, grasslands). MW3 just seems to have city, city, city, slightly larger city, African city. Kinda lame...

Ha, fair enough! I went to Kmart at Midnight (the closest one to me is open 24/7) and they still had two 360 Hardened Editions, but went with the regular edition since it would be less money out-of-pocket for me by going the points card route. And it also didn't lock me into Elite, since I still haven't actually paid for it yet. Still deciding.

Well, if you feel like paying attention to any one who says the game is just a recycled bunch of assets, then your probably not going to be impressed by this game period. Which makes plopping forth an extra $50 a ridiculous notion.
