It's everyone else trying to snatch a piece of that pie in the laziest way possible that's the problem. If publishers tried to compete in the MP space by giving people what CoD doesn't, the MP landscape right now would be fucking amazing. Hahahaha, like it is on the PC.
At least they changed the UI a bit? I think they showed quick scoping in the trailer.
The future setting seems just retarded.
I just hope reviewers don't praise those superficial changes as innovative, then when the next boring, copy and paste Call of Duty comes out, reviewers praise it as "a return to form"
(Moar innovation than NSMB2 BTW)
Black Ops 2 Multiplayer Reveal Trailer:This looks great!
At any rate, there's no way this can be worse than MW3, so in that case, I look forward to this!
but I'll wait until they show off Zombies before I decide to throw down another $60.
for now, Sly 4 will be the only game I want this holiday season.
"Alright. That looked totally awesome.
They had a lot of things that a lot of people have talked about.
-Showed a different style of Red Dot Sight
-There was some kind of turret that used Super Sonic Pulses to disorient nearby enemies.
-There were some kind of EMP grenade
-When it comes to damage it seems like weapon damage is high like in MW3 (Only took a few shots with the weapons to take down some enemies)
-Tomahawk is still in
-Quadrator appeared to be called "Dragonfire"
-Can still dive to prone (Dolphin Dive)
-New riot shield appears to allow the player to peak through a small opening to open fire at enemies
-When it goes to a guy that runs up on an enemy an pistols the first guy and then knifes the second before being tomahawked, the guy has a custom class with no primary (Just the pistol secondary) and has what looks like 6 perks. Also the bottom 3 fields of his class build have images in them, just don't know what they represent.
-From the second view of the class build it looks like you might be able to have 5 total perks, and you can only have 3 pro unlocks from those 5 perks you select.
-Another thing that got me was when a player is walking through shipping containers. You see a faint glow cross across the screen and then nearby enemies became slightly illuminated. For instance, the player saw an enemies silhouette very faintly through the shipping container before he came around the corner.
There was simply a lot of awesome. Can't wait to see more.
Also, in the very beginning it appears that you can see the players class build. This is what I get from that image:
-Can have a total of 8 perks max for your custom class(assuming those are all perk slots)
-Can have a total of 3 attachments for your weapon max
-Can have a max of two pieces of equipment (Throwing knives, grenades, ect).
-At the bottom there appear to be 3 more fields, but they are inactive. So, not sure of their purpose
Definitely looks like one of the new game modes is a Multi TDM. At the very end at the top you see a score board which shows the score of the Top 3 teams which updates after the player got a kill before dropping down.
Pure Awesomeness!"
nd now back to me. Looks like a lot of the gameplay features from the prior games are here but have been expanded upon (riot shields that you can shoot through neat!). The big thing is the Class/Perk system being overhauled so that everything you want in your loadout has a point rating with the idea being that the player can basically take everything they want in their class and ignore what they don't care about. Apparently the Perks now "synergize" and combinations of perks can grant different or augmented abilities (take this one with a grain of salt though).
Hypothetically you can spend all your class points to have a bunch of perks and then take a pistol or knife into a battle and then just pick a gun up off a dead guy and go from there.
So far this is looking pretty cool. Combat Training is already announced to still be in the game, so that'll be good for people who might have shitty connections or who want the MP but don't wanna deal with the people.
So far this looks pretty cool. If this combine the good stuff from MW2 with the stuff that was good about Black Ops, this will likely be an awesome game as far as MP goes.
Who gives a shit. Modern Warfare 3 sold over 30 million copies. It really doesn't matter what the haters think.
Well, consider me buying a Russian key!
Also, I'm loving what they did with the riot shield and the ability to summon birds to kill your enemies! I know they're just drones, but they look like birds, so birds!
Blops is the only CoD I've been able to tolerate for any measure of time(5 prestige) so here's hoping this one is just as good.
Innovation in this industry is a joke being told as we speak, with no end in the foreseeable future.
